The Donald & The La Raza Judge Pat Buchanan
Jun 07, 2016
Before the lynching of The Donald proceeds, what exactly was it he said about that Hispanic judge?
Stated succinctly, Donald Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over a class-action suit against Trump University, is sticking it to him. And the judge's bias is likely rooted in the fact that he is of Mexican descent.
Can there be any defense of a statement so horrific?
Just this. First, Trump has a perfect right to be angry about the judge's rulings and to question his motives. Second, there are grounds for believing Trump is right.
On May 27, Curiel, at the request of The Washington Post, made public plaintiff accusations against Trump University -- that the whole thing was a scam. The Post, which Bob Woodward tells us has 20 reporters digging for dirt in Trump's past, had a field day.
And who is Curiel?
An appointee of President Obama, he has for years been associated with the La Raza Lawyers Association of San Diego, which supports pro-illegal immigrant organizations.
Set aside the folly of letting Clinton surrogates like the Post distract him from the message he should be delivering, what did Trump do to be smeared by a bipartisan media mob as a "racist"?
He attacked the independence of the judiciary, we are told.
But Presidents Jefferson and Jackson attacked the Supreme Court, and FDR, fed up with New Deal programs being struck down, tried to "pack the court" by raising the number of justices to 15 if necessary.
Abraham Lincoln leveled "that eminent tribunal" in his first inaugural, and once considered arresting Chief Justice Roger Taney.

appointed the Robbins Geller law firm to represent plaintiffs. Robbins Geller has paid $675,000 in speaking fees since 2009 to Trumps likely opponent, Hillary Clinton, and to her husband, former president Bill Clinton. Curiel appointed the firm in the case before Trump entered the presidential race, but again, it might not be unreasonable for a defendant in Trumps position to wonder who Curiel favors in the presidential election.
He should resign.
He is making the judicial branch a BIGGER joke.
This is good..

The attorney group leading the lawsuit against Trump are heavily involved in Democrat politics and have paid Bill and Hillary Clinton $675,000 for speeches. (link)
The Judge in the lawsuit is an open borders immigration activist with direct ties to San Diego La Raza, and has openly engaged with them on their political endeavors. (link) and (link) including scholarships for illegal aliens.
The Trump lawsuit relies (in part) on testimony from a former disgruntled employee of the Trump Organization who went to work for notorious #NeverTrump activist Glenn Beck. (link)
The Judge then accidentally releases court records which provides the media with the names, locations, and contact information of the plaintiffs and witnesses in the case, which fuels the media narrative. (link)
After the mistaken release, Judge Curiel reseals the court records. (link)
The Judge is a member of an ethnic legal group, HNBA, whose specific and publicly expressed intentions are to target Donald Trumps business interests (link)
I agree with you. La Raza should have been the first and last words out of Trump’s mouth. Don’t muddy the waters. Make it clear who the enemy is. Identify, isolate and destroy. Trump shoots from the hip, and sometimes the shot placement is sloppy.
Romney and Jeb are just giddy now, like little school girls.
Donald Trump Under Siege From GOP For Comments on Judge Gonzalo Curiel
Jun 6, 2016 5:32 PM CDT
On With All Due Respect, Mark Halperin and John Heilemann discuss the wave of criticism that Donald Trump is receiving from his side of the aisle over his controversial comments about U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel and how much damage he is inflicting on himself.
Actually, if Trump had said the judge was an American, he would have been wrong.
He said the judge was “Mexican”. It’s true because that’s where his sympathies lie. That’s his allegiance.
And that’s what Trump said. That judge is a MEXICAN.
And he is.
Veterans, our oath has no expiration date. Get busy, get ready.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I don’t think judges can appoint firms in class action suits. He simply approved the lawyers that were already working on the case. Curiel also did not look into the law firms political contributions. That would have been inappropriate & violate the law firms First Amendment rights. Which doesn’t even get into the matter of Trump also supporting the Clintons politically and personally while this was all going on.
bump
When Pat is good, he’s really, really good.
Cruz lost.
If La Raza had been the first and last words out of Trumps mouth, would there be a contraversy now? Probably not.
I suspect Trump wanted this situation to become a controversy, because he wanted there to be an issue he could work with. The media is doing the work for him and they are setting the table. Now Trump will argue all the points as to why this judge has an allegiance to Mexico.
And once again, following the Bush clan's lead, the GOP establishment sides with La Raza against Americans. Even supposed Trump ally Gingrich chimed in on behalf of La Raza.
They link on their by laws page to LARAZA.
That is an explicit statement of solidarity with an anti-American organization, who has stated their goals are The Reqoncuista, a return of so called Mexican lands to ghe Mexican people, which where, in their words “Stolen by the White Man”(sic)
It is a fantasy that there was ever a collective Mexican people, as there wasn’t during or before the synthetic claim of stolen lands.
It should be noted that there are various languages of indiginous peoples over the centuries such as:
“Nahuatl, Yucatec, Tzotzil, Mixtec, Zapotec, Otomi, Huichol, Totonac and other living 54 languages along the Mexican territory, as well as Spanish.”
That is more than 65 claimed or known languages of disparate peoples who were organized as clans, bands and tribes, each competitors to each other before the modern era.
There was no collective Mexican people nor a homogenous Mexican nation until the 20th century and even today, each tribe has their own imperatives arguing against the central government headquartered in Mexico City.
The most notorious examples are the tribes seeking autonomy for self determination seperate from the Federal goverment, who acts, by force, against the tribes, for various business interests and subjugates the native peoples by force, stealing their lands, imprisoning anyone opposed to the Federal Jack Boot thugs who act as a proxy force on behalf of businesses, with no regard for culture and families of local tribes.
Beside all that, Mexico has a policy of exporting their people, who only wish to practice their local customs, way of life and preservation of culture, so big business legal and criminal can co-opt the lands.
Mexico is a great nation(/S) that many wish to leave, so they may and can pursue what is the the American Dream:
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happyness, so their families might improve their lot in life and give meaning to heritage of passing on “The Good Struggle” for their progeny.
Mexicans come to America because they know they have a chance to become anything or anyone, with equal opportunity not found nor possible in their homeland.
It is sad people are forced to leave their families, neighborhoods, lands, the smells of memories and the country they wish they could be proud of.
Mexico should be ashamed they are incapable of creating laws and a culture where each individual is equal any other citizen.
Pathetic is a kind word to describe the culture and policies that force migration because parity of opportunity to pursue ones dreams is non-existent.
If Mexicans have a certain “Heritage” then what conclusions are we to draw of the Canadian Heritage.
They also border the United States and yet, there is no mass yearning to leave their families and country.
Why? The laws and culture enable all who wish for any station in life to do so, as a matter of desire and will, with no fear some greedy persons or corporation will engage the government to steal ideas, lands for their nefarious and unfair business interest.
Lastly, there can be no Reqonquista.
Looking at the flag of California gives us a hint as to why:
California, like Texas was a Lone Star State. It is alluded to by the star on the flag and then there is the Bear on the Flag, which is symbolic of The Bear Flag Revolt, when Californians left the barely independent country of Mexico, who had also revolted against Spain some 20 plus years earlier but, had no ability to govern the territory of California nor provide any benefit economically, as their government was still in its formative yearsx with an economic system that such a basket case they could not afford to pay for the administration of then government services.
In fact, they were a lousy debtor nation which time and again reneged and failed to pay its obligations to nations such as France, who invaded in 1862 to demand payment and force Mexico to live up to its promise to pay for loans amd goods.
Today, Cinco de Mayo is well celebrated in the US but, is a minor blip in Mexico itself, probably because it is and should be embarassing to celebrate an invasion caused by irresponsible policy.
So, forward to the Modern era and some idiots who insist and demand California be returned to Mexico.
It is not possible for a so called “Reqonquista”.
Mexico cannot currently manage to induce their own people to stay but rather, it compells them to leave; No one in their right mind and divorced from idiot fantasy would would want to perform an act which be suicidal.
I am almost to the point of saying, “just take California, you freakin own it anyway”. Then the whole world can witness the complete collapse of a once great and industrious state. If it weren’t for the ports and resources, I’d say give it to them.
If Trump would have just fought the judge on the judge’s beliegs and associations, he would have been fine.
The problem came when Trump said the guy could not judge him because he was Mexican. When you say someone can’t do a particular job because of his race, then you are a racist - just as racist as the groups that say that whites can’t judge blacks.
So Donald - get out there and explain yourself.
