I don’t think judges can appoint firms in class action suits. He simply approved the lawyers that were already working on the case. Curiel also did not look into the law firm’s political contributions. That would have been inappropriate & violate the law firm’s First Amendment rights. Which doesn’t even get into the matter of Trump also supporting the Clintons politically and personally while this was all going on.
