So my colleague and I were catching up after not seeing each other for a while.
Shes just accepted a new position as an administrator at the community college up the street from where I work. I wanted to welcome her to the neighborhood and her new job.
We arranged to meet at a Starbucks in between our two institutions on Capitol Hill in Seattle. We talked for maybe 30 or 40 minutes. Its the kind of innocuous catch-up talk that two college administrators do when were trying to figure out what weve been up to since we last talked.
My awareness of the incident, as I later explained it to the police officer who took my statement, started with me realizing that my right hand was wet.
We were in a Starbucks and there was lots of liquid around. My cortical brain told me that most likely someone spilled something. But then, I heard someone behind me say something that sounded like, f*****g n****r b***h.
My brain needed a new explanation. I turned and realized that a young, white man in his early 20s behind me, neatly dressed with short-cropped hair with a dark-colored backpack, was directing this statement at my colleague.
As I turned to face him, he said, Thats right, f*****g n*****r b***h again. He walked to the door and walked out. The incident didnt really register with me, even as he walked out.

Yes. And here’s their form for requesting copies. http://globalassets.starbucks.com/assets/c8e2b0f4a1e64062bf3fca0993f15c3f.pdf
If this had really happened, they could have obtained video of the incident.
I question it as well.
Good point. There was a case a couple of days ago where a Seattle-area nutcase who was riding on a bus just up and beat the living crap out of an 80-year-old lady who was sitting near him.
What the Hell happened to this country?
So what was this guy expecting to happen? That the other people in Starbucks would be so shocked at hearing the N word that they would physically confront him? How many of you would confront someone who appears to be deranged, especially considering he left the premises right away?
Given the widespread use of smartphones, the absence of a video to substantiate such a report makes it very questionable.
Article said there was a witness who talked to the cop and the manager assisted them. It wasn’t spilled coffee but spit. I would love to see the police report.
Doesn’t ring true.
One has to wonder why the name calling, spit, etc. directed toward the woman when both persons present were black. Also curious about the description of the perpetrator who must have been a freakin’ Seattle liberal if in fact he existed, as well curious as to what the storyline is intended to impart to the reader, other than to stir up more racial divide.
Yes, I referred to that. But it is so rare and if it occurred, usually paranoid schizos are not neatly dressed and ready to go to school with a backpack. It doesn’t add up.
I think it’s a hoax to fill the news air with such stories to create an illusion of white people attacking blacks. In that district, it just doesn’t happen. Nor are blacks angry and aggressive in that district. The most aggressive are the drug addicts and they never attack blacks.
I don’t believe a word of it. It wasn’t staged because it no doubt never happened.
My question is....What did the “wet hand” have to do with any of this????
BS.
Ahhh...I read further and found the the “name caller” wasn’t able to aim his spit very well...
BS story.....
Maybe not spilled coffee. According to the “college admin” person it was spit and that I believe is considered assault in most locales. Well unless it’s a Trump protestor spitting on Trump supporters then it’s okay. Kinda like throwing eggs at them. And bricks and bottles and rocks. All okay for bernadettes.
Of course it’s BS. These freaks make up stories all the time. They HAVE to because they can’t point to any real examples of evil whitey.
Probably just his dog’s name.
Not a Starbuck’s customer, but I’d guess there were surveillance cameras on the premises to help identify the supposed perpetrator. Just about any business has such cameras these days.
I was in this part of Seattle about three weeks ago—the formerly quaint Capitol Hill.
It’s become a real dump, like the Haight district in San Francisco. Nothing but trashy stores, empty storefronts, and homeless people.
I have googled it and read several articles “reporting” this and all use his blog post as the source. Not one quote from the Seattle police department.
I say call Starbucks and police department and ask if this happened.
I bet it didn’t
