So my colleague and I were catching up after not seeing each other for a while.
She’s just accepted a new position as an administrator at the community college up the street from where I work. I wanted to welcome her to the neighborhood and her new job.
We arranged to meet at a Starbucks in between our two institutions on Capitol Hill in Seattle. We talked for maybe 30 or 40 minutes. It’s the kind of innocuous catch-up talk that two college administrators do when we’re trying to figure out what we’ve been up to since we last talked.
My awareness of the incident, as I later explained it to the police officer who took my statement, started with me realizing that my right hand was wet.
We were in a Starbucks and there was lots of liquid around. My cortical brain told me that most likely someone spilled something. But then, I heard someone behind me say something that sounded like, “f*****g n****r b***h.”
My brain needed a new explanation. I turned and realized that a young, white man in his early 20s behind me, neatly dressed with short-cropped hair with a dark-colored backpack, was directing this statement at my colleague.
As I turned to face him, he said, “That’s right, f*****g n*****r b***h” again. He walked to the door and walked out. The incident didn’t really register with me, even as he walked out.

Yep, far more of the reverse happens. As in this case, it usually involves the at least somewhat deranged.
But you know what? When it happens to whites, they don’t file police reports. They don’t blame everyone who looked the other way over an altercation that they didn’t understand. They don’t fume about their education and station in life being supposed to shield them from such. And they don’t post to the internet about it.
Sounds like another BS story to me.
Shoulda pulled out his heater and tagged the guy for later identification.

If this report is true, it is definitely a news item in that it is such a rarity—what newspapermen would call a “man bites dog story.” And since the perpetrator is white, it would not be censored.
Now the myriad of “knock-out” games perpetrated by blacks against whites—not mere racial slurs but actual violent crimes usually accompanied by racial slurs—for some reason that’s not worthy of being reported.
Exactly. In today's world, every public event gets picked up on someone's iPhone. This allegedly happens in a Starbucks and there is no surveillance video and no uploads to YouTube of the incident? Highly unlikely.

I should modify my previous post to say, and it’s absolutely true, that black kids in Seattle’s Capitol Hill District are awesome people, sane and reasonable voices among all groups.
If there are any unreasonable people, it usually is white drug addicts but they never attack blacks. They usually turn their venom on police and businesses. But their episodes are short.
This is very much a non-story. Should not merit an iota of time. It’s news because it purports to be white on black. But its credibility is very weak. The tip off that discredits the story is the description of a neat, cropped, with neat backpack white person saying such things to an unknown black. It just doesn’t happen in that district and if it were to happen, it would so rare that it could only be done by someone that is mentally disturbed.
I’ve seen in the past two weeks comments from people about how whites ALWAYS attack poor blacks, like the white Trump supporter kid that was run down and flipped by a black kid. Ona comment asked why should it be upsetting, it’s what white people do ALL THE TIME EVERYDAY to black people.

One other possibility. The guy had some sort of mental disorder. All kinds of wild stuff flows from the mouths of paranoid Schizophrenics.
Dr. Bob needs to ask some questions like...”anyone know this guy?....”does he come in often?” Call me dubious as it is an imaginable scenario only to the extent one would want to prove a point that is otherwise not provable absent the story.
