Is the Colorado fiasco backfiring on Cruz?
(Excerpt) Read more at redstatewatcher.com ...
No, it's not. How could it be anything Cruz did if he followed Co. rules and Trump was to stupid too know what they were? The delegates are in the bank. Now Wyoming is in the same bank because Trump didn't even go speak to them.
Cruz played by the rules and Trump does not. This means that Trump is either incompetent or a sleazy manipulator, a con man. What if he turns out not to be on your side? He has no fixed principles. It’s hard to know what his politics are. You project onto him whatever you want, but your projections may not be the reality of the man. What if you don’t like the deals he makes? You’ve elected a king, not somebody who understands the constitutional concept of giving power back to the states.
Howzat, again?
so funny!
But just like Lassie, Trump is smart, loyal, jumps in to help in situations he did not create, is good looking (ok maybe that’s a stretch)
LOL! I wish I could come up with funny things too.
I’ve been making a list of all the “TEDs” because they crack me up - but I like your “Ted Man Walking” and “The Walking Ted”

he fell 11% - only took a bit of thought and subtraction to figure out a 1 was missing.
Wyoming Rules reduce the pesky voters way down since the last election.
2,114 committeemen chose delegates in 2012.
903 committeemen chose delegates in 2016
They reduced voters by another 55%....Way to go Wyoming GOPe.!
Thats a whopping .03% of your republican voters.
In 2020 we expect 400 voters.....In 2024 youll be gone for good!
The Wyoming plan is much like Colorados. Registered Republicans with lots of time and $ to follow each step of the lengthy process. They are more likely to be activists within the state party than general republicans interested in the presidential race. That has an impact on turnout and eventually the outcome of the delegate selection process. This grants the state party much more control over the process.
By having only approved committee vote for the delegates, the party is ensured THEIR choice as opposed to the popular vote.
State parties change rules to exclude voters: The last poll (summer) had Jeb Bush leading. Bush-Cheney-> Wyoming! ... Realizing a near lost in 2012, Wyoming reined in the election process game for 2016.
-—2012 Primary Election results-—
Mitt Romney.........822.......38.99%.... 11
Rick Santorum......679.......31.93%...... 8
Ron Paul...............439.......20.83%...... 6
Newt Gingrich.......165.........7.83%...... 2
——2016 Wyoming Caucus——
Cruz votes-644...... 66.3%
Rubio votes189....... 19.5%
Trump votes70.......... 7.2%
2016 ->Dumped 1000+ selectors. (275,573 registered republican voters)
903 Committeeman chose delegates. .03 % of eligible voters choose POTUS
You forgot,
lusTED and perverTED
Remind me Floridian,E=MC
How many counties did your boy, Fidelito, win in FL?
00000000000000000000-
How many votes did Cruz lose to the Great Donald Trump ?
500,000- - -FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND- - 1/2 Million
What state must the POTUS win in the Real election?
>Florida,— Fidelito can’t win over 38% of Florida.=Unelectable!
In Nevada, voters went out and voted at open events, we watched it on TV. Then they counted the votes and then they declared the results.
In Colorado, the pre-printed ballot with numbers only, no names, was presented and each person stood for 10 seconds and made their "10 second presentation" as to why "pre-selected delegates" should select number 357.
You cannot say those two state selection processes were similar or that Colorado was an open process.
Gosh, I hope so. It's probably his best option, though. If he works WITH President Trump to accomplish things like getting rid of Common Core, Obama Care, TPP etc he could redeem himself. Another factor is his unsavory resume and family connections. He'd have to get out of the Bushes, dump Glenn Beck, and Heidi would have to resign from Goldman Sachs.
Mygosh, as I type this I realize how far gone Cruz is. It would be quite a redemption story.
If only delegates count, then only those delegates would vote for Cruz or any Republicans that endorse him in November. Republicans would have difficulty winning as much as dog catcher, across the nation, unless they condemn Cruz.
The Howard Dean yell was probably more disastrous than this.
” “Is the Colorado fiasco backfiring on Cruz?”....

Just because he followed the rules (that is debatable as well) does not mean it is not backfiring on him. People want to vote. They don’t want some convoluted system like CO or Wyoming.
I am really not happy with the Republican Party. I’ve said I will vote for the republican candidate if things are done fairly. I am having my doubts.
Nevada participation: 75,482; Kentucky: 229,669; Hawaii: 13,380
Wyoming participation: less than a thousand, in a state with 140K registered Republicans.
Wyoming didn't have any sort of election. It was a convention of party bosses.
In Texas, after you vote, you stay for the precinct convention the same day as the vote. Delegates are chosen to attend the county convention a few days after the precinct convention. At the county convention, delegates are chosen to go to the state convention. At the state convention, national delegates are chosen for the thing you see on TV. Most voters, unfortunate only see the primary vote, and the national convention, and have NO idea what happens in between. It would be interesting to take a poll of Trump voters to see how many stayed after for the precinct convention. If they went there, how many went to the county convention. People aren't taught basic civics anymore and then feel cheated when they find out THEY have been doing it all wrong for decades. Co just eliminated the part where the people vote in a primary and went straight to the convention to elect delegates for the candidates running. Saves a ton of money. But just realize, that's the SAME THING as voters voting in a primary. Everyone has the right to show up at the convention,......they just don't. Trump sent an underling because Co wasn't important enough for him to fly out there. Just like NYC didn't like Cruz's comment quoting Trump on NY values,9 even though it's the truth, Co and Wy didn't like the fact Trump didn't even think it was important enough to show up to woo delegates to vote for him.
Trump has shown himself a whiner and ignorant of government, not that someone did anything wrong.
Now look at the title of the post,...." Is the Colorado fiasco backfiring on Cruz?" First of all, it wasn't a fiasco, and second of all Cruz had nothing to do with the rules Co uses to pick their candidate, Cruz just showed up and followed the rules Co dictated.
2016 may require a date with Jack Daniels or Jose Cuervo to pull the lever.
