Sexism is driving women away from the GOP front-runner Donald Trump and the Republican Party, potentially providing a windfall to Hillary Clinton in a general election.
But to ride women's discontent into the Oval Office, of course, Clinton has to win the Democratic nomination. And while she has maintained a strong advantage with women voters overall, she's not doing well with all women. White millennial women favor Bernie Sanders.
Perhaps that's because the best rationale for Clinton's candidacy hasn't been effectively communicated to millennial women. There is a powerful case to be made for electing a woman president, and it has nothing to do with the straw man of identity politics.

Hillary is an insider beast. Put a Thatcher up and see if they feel electing a woman because works for them then.
Don’t remember them treating Palin well.
It will be of help during her probe.
if females should vote for females, then male should vote for males
For using the word “cognitive”? LOL ;-P
“There is a powerful case to be made for electing a woman president, and it has nothing to do with the straw man of identity politics.
The most compelling reason women should vote for Hillary Clinton? Pure self-interest.”
Um, identity politics IS pure self-interest (or at least that is how they sell it to the rubes).
I don’t think women should have the vote much less seek high office.
Dont bother upsetting your day reading the rest of it. It’s non-sensical from top to bottom. Indeed, it’s blithering idiocy, not even coherent (What part of her anatomy does the authoress use to think up her articles? No, don’t answer that. I don’t want to know...)
I red the hole article... sorry :)
(now I’m chuckling at myself - I’m so sad :)
I read the entire article and she puts forth the bs ‘wage inequality’ between women ...sorry. WOMYN and men.
Just like ‘AGW’ it is ‘settle science’ that womyn make less for the exact same job.
(ITS TRUE - its so bad at my work, I came in dressed like a chick and LOST my job! They REALLY hate women here!!)
Evan on the LATimes 90% of the comments were negative! Hehe.
Well, that is one beyond-creepy mental image.
o_O
IF and WHEN there is a woman that can be voted for then I’ll think about it, so far there isn’t any ‘woman’ that I would walk across the street for....
Imagine a world where the major party nominees are Bernie Sanders and Carly Fiorina. The Los Diablos Times would be arguing exactly the opposite - women must vote for the old man to protect them.
Thanks for the warning :)
idiots.
you know, Christian white males might be the ONLY group that really does vote color and gender blind.
That’s the terrific irony.
yeah I’m sure this woman would be be saying women must vote for women if Sarah Palin was running
Really that’s one thing on the right we don’t play that game I don’t recall anybody saying women gotta vote for Sarah Palin because she a women or blacks have to vote for so-and-so because it’s black..... but lib always pull that crap...
Yes, the 19th Amendment is controversial, even today.
Anyone who votes for or against a candidate because of his/her sex should stay home and try to really accomplish something....anything.
So, according to Ms. Cohen at the LA Times, women should vote for women because of group self interest because they will favor women over men.
Time for the flip side article about why men should vote their self interest. The article lays it out—a woman will go about enacting laws and policies that disadvantage men. They admit it, they are proud of it. Any man that would vote for HRC deserves her.
Tribalism. It’s what’s for dinner.
Note the sixth letter is an L, not a D. Since we’re talking Hillary, we need to be very clear about this.
Yes indeed so it seems. The rest of the voters have let themselves be manipulated in the most inane and crass manner — into superficial and divisive little racist or sexist or tribal sub- groups — just like they were “dumb” African pygmies — and the most ironic part of it all is that they frequently vote against even their little sub- group’s interests. Just look at the devastation in many of our major cities , for example. Hillary and others get their votes and also get the shaft when it comes to schools, economic opportunity, you name it. The worse their political “masters” make their lives, the more these “voter groups” turn out to stuff ballot boxes for their overlords. Stockholm syndrome? Or pure masochism, or what?
