The REAL GOPe Agenda
4/6/2016 | Rustybucket

Posted on 04/06/2016 7:44:25 AM PDT by Rustybucket

Our coffee club conservative meeting yielded an unusual conclusion, that some thought everyone knew.

The GOPe are pushing for Cruz, but not for the reason some people think. They, In Our Opinion, don’t want Trump to win the nomination because he could/would win against any Clinton/Sanders contest, whereas Cruz, would not win against either of the Democratic contenders.

So they are not backing a winner, they are purposely pushing for the Republican that will lose against the Establishment candidate, probably Clinton.

Why would they do this? To keep Washington exactly as it is, and understand, they don’t give a Da!m about America, just keep the gravy train rolling.

For some in the group, this was a revelation, for others, it was a Duh! moment. How do you feel about this? All of us would be interested in your feedback.

You are delusional. There is not one poll anywhere that shows Trump even competing with Clinton or Sanders. Not saying Cruz does much better, but the democrats crush Trump in every single general election poll. If that is what the GOPe wanted they would be supporting Trump with every ounce of their being.

They’re pushing for a Ryan nomination, not Cruz. They see Cruz as too unreliable, but they know that an open GOP-e candidate can’t win the nomination through primary voters.

There is not one poll anywhere that shows Trump even competing with Clinton or Sanders.

In 1980, Carter was 20 points ahead of Reagan at this point. In 2004, Kerry was 12 points ahead of Dubya. Which means that general election polls at this point are about as irrelevant as your post. Who is the delusional one again?

Congratulations, you’ve just regurgitated an of repeated Trumpster conspiracy theory.

If Trump walks into the convention hall with less than the needed delegates, then Cruz will likely win on the 2nd or 3rd ballot. Nothing you Trumpsters can do about, your candidate is a sleaze who has run a gutter campaign and Trump’s followers have followed his example. Trump has alienated almost everyone at this point, and most of the delegates will be thrilled to vote against him and for Cruz.

The rest of your post is a bunch of silly nonsense, predicated on the idea that ONLY Trump can change Washington and Cruz can’t.

Trump is not even a conservative. He is a north east liberal who is conning you by pretending to be a conservative when it suits his purposes.

The RNC and the rest of the GOP establishment isn't backing Cruz because they want him as a nominee. They're backing him because he cant take enough votes from Trump to give the RNC the brokered convention that it wants. The GOPe wants to run one of its own (Bush, etc) in the general election, and Cruz isn't one of their own. He's just their willing dupe. They know Cruz won't get the 1237 delegates necessary to close the deal, and that he can be thrown away after the first delegate vote in Cleveland.

You're right about one thing though. The GOP establishment, would rather have Hillary than Trump in the Oval Office.

The GOPe is forced to get behind either Cruz or Trump. There's little doubt they despise both, but they have to pick one.

Perhaps they believe they'll have more influence with Cruz. That does not necessarily mean they will.

I'd say your group should start group therapy to resolve paranoid delusions.

The GOP-E wants to win the election. They may be reading the tea leaves differently from you, be relying too much on polls, and don't have a correct understanding of who is most likely to win. Those people are the ones who get all the cushy appointments and other positions if a Republican wins, even Trump. There are thousands of positions to be filled, and Trump will have to rely on people with knowledge of Washington to fill those positions.

It is possible for people to disagree on facts without being traitors.

Unlike some, our group does not live or die by polls, we follow FR and other websites where people voice their opinions, we talk to people in our neighborhoods, attend city council meeting, and lions club, rotary, and other social events, discuss at the VA clubs, motorcycle and RV clubs, and get together to share what we learn with our members. What we glean is most times very different than what polls say, and to be honest, very few of us have been contacted by a pollster, rather we have been proactive in voicing our opinions on online polls. So to us, polls, while a nice talking point to many, do not reflect real world politics to us in our community.
As for them backing Trump, I will emphasize that they want to back a loser, as that is their intent.

Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

The GOP doesn’t care about winning elections as long as they stay the second major party in America, and they get to keep their seats at the globalist table. Sooner or later a strong third party alternative has to come into being with the eventual hope of overtaking the GOP and making them irrelevant in national politics.

I agree. Trump is a threat to the current system that is rotten to the core. Someone from the private sector just might hold people (in government) accountable.

This poster is exactly correct. Trump would lay waste to their little uni....party, which they have having at our expense for decades.

Trump wins, party’s over. Count on it.

The anti-American uniparty does not care if its' R wing or its' D wing wins the election. Cruz or Hillary they are fine with either because either means the continuation of the status quo.

The only candidate that the uniparty fears is Donald Trump because only Donald Trump will attempt to reform Washington DC and stop the process of selling the USA to the globalists. Which is why the entire unipary and it's media propagandists are attacking Trump 24/7.

We tend to think that the GOP Elite are not a political party, rather a financial group of powerbrokers, than are understood by very few, and as such are very fearful of a candidate who understands their motives, and more importantly has been raised to play their game, and win.

To do this however, he has to enter an arena unfamiliar to him (politics), they have many similarities, and as successful businessman knows, that to be successful, you have to surround yourself with the best.

That scare the he!! out of the GOPe, and it’s showing.

Yes, the liberals I know were cheering the Trump loss yesterday because they all feel Trump would take the Presidency and all know Mr Personality Cruz will never win against Hillary.

We need to settle on how to dismantle the GOPe.

We need to primary out folks and more importantly boycott and make known our disgust to their sponsors.
Then ride out President Hillary if the GOP has its way.
