Ted Cruz Was Just Hit With Another Huge Accusation
Restoring Libety ^ | 3-29-16 | Jack Davis

What the Ted Cruz campaign says in public and what it says in private are two very different things, according to a series of tweets from a top strategist for Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The Friday tweets from strategist John Weaver follows tensions between the Ohio governor and the Texas senator over whether Cruz is telling New York Republicans Kasich won’t be on the ballot when the Empire State’s crucial April 19 Republican presidential primary rolls around.

Cruz has publicly said Kasich should withdraw from the race because he cannot win the nomination outright. “A vote for John Kasich is a vote for Donald Trump,” Cruz said Saturday.

But in a series of five tweets Friday, Weaver said the private conversations are all about finding ways the two campaigns can deny Trump the delegates needed to win the nomination on the first ballot . . .

“By this standard Cruz himself should withdraw from the race. The fact that he doesn’t makes him a hypocrite. Ted Cruz;”Do as I say, not as I do”. “

Exactly.

Cruz is a gnat’s ass away from being in that same position - being “unable to win the nomination outright” - and, as such, should be preparing to withdraw. I will bet that by the time NY and PA finish voting, Cruz will need more than 100% of the remaining delegates in order to win the nomination outright. THAT is the point at which he MUST - by his own standard - withdraw. If he is smart (and I like the guy for the most part and believe him to be damned smart), then he’ll stop the stupid wife games and work out the best deal with Trump NOW, while he still has something to offer. He needs to get a deal NOW, before Kasich gives his delegates to Trump for his own deal.

Trumpers would go nuclear.
What I don’t get is Trump is clearly a liar, cheated on his spouse, and has had 4 bankruptcies, but freepers here (Frumpers?? :) need to destroy Cruz. I don’t get all the vitriol.

I see it the same way, Cruz is headed for a brick wall in NY and PA. Trump will win those states easily.

Cruz is running out of time to make a deal.

Quite frankly I doubt Trump is even interested at this point.

Why would he want to take on Cruz's dirty laundry?

el Cubano de Canadian has basically won only Wichita and Texas, that’s all.

Cruz would have had zero chance if it was not for shaming voting/ballots and SECRET counting in very over-representative delegate states that eventually become the lowest electoral college vote states. The are fringe marginal wins compared to the REAL election (w the exception of Texas).

Cruz’s 8 states vote totals is less than the population of WICHITA for crying out loud. He had the worst showing in Texas in 50 years. And if he didn’t have his staff of profiling schemers finding where he may appeal to people, he’d been long gone. And if Ted wasn’t from Texas, he’d be at <5% of the vote and long gone. Texas is huge in both delegates and electors.

There is no reason why an ‘evangelical Christian’ wouldn’t have won The South and Cruz got zilch. Southerners see through his over rehearsed smarmy pious demeanor. And if he can’t win Florida, Ohio, & Virginia plus the South, there’s no path to win.

All he can do is cajole, bribe, deceive & coerce his way to Cleveland. Unless he’s planning on some major league cheating (computerized vote reversals) he can not win. And if he’s succeeds in doing this, you can be guaranteed the GOPe will back-stab Cheatin’ Teddy at the 2nd ballot.

Read some of the 57 delegation rules, many delegates are pledged through to the winner to the 2nd or 3rd round. And some delegations can DQ him since he does not ‘qualify’ as an eligible candidate. el Cubano de Canada demonstrates how little he really regards our Constitution by running.

Tricky Teddy = Dirty Teddy = Lyin’ Teddy = Cheatin’ Teddy

For me it is the disappointment in what Cruz has become. I was a Cruz supporter until he turned weird. I expect lies from politicians, but Cruz's are like Hillary's. There are too many stupid and vicious lies. He brings Trump even when the topics have nothing to do with Trump. This obsessions reveals somebody not mentally stable. He fabricated statements about Trump and KKK yet never said anything against Beck's insane remarks. His statement about the Chicago leftists was what revealed that he is not much of a conservative.

It is not the NE article that bothers me but rather how he has reacted. He blamed Trump again even though it was Rubio. I thought he made a good candidate but his mask cracked. It is sad, something in which I find no joy.

I'm not expert on psychology, but I suspect its based on, uh, insecurities. That's all I'm going to say.

I apologize, and thank-you.
I will revise before I repost.

And that one is a solid win.
Idaho 100,943 with 32 delegates.
4 electoral votes

It never dawned on me that he was anything but Texan, but when I realized his lack of NBC status, it was a game changer. And there’s all the over stuff.

Looking beyond the narrow issue of Canada, who we love as a neighbor,eh, we need to realize what happens once that door is cracked open. Our sovereignty is under constant erosion and this is the final straw.

And, frankly, we are better off with the fact that it has never been proven that ‘44 was born anywhere but Hawaii. If proven otherwise, it would set the precedent for foreigners to follow. But this a globalist dream, which is why the list of unqualified candidates from both sides of the aisle continues to grow each election season.

I agree, but the fact that things are still in doubt would give Cruz a bit of leverage in return for throwing in the towel. Not Veep (and how could Trump, after saying that Cruz is ineligible?), but maybe Solicitor General (A.G. was likely already promised to Christie), followed by the S.C. in a couple of years.
