What the Ted Cruz campaign says in public and what it says in private are two very different things, according to a series of tweets from a top strategist for Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
The Friday tweets from strategist John Weaver follows tensions between the Ohio governor and the Texas senator over whether Cruz is telling New York Republicans Kasich wont be on the ballot when the Empire States crucial April 19 Republican presidential primary rolls around.
Cruz has publicly said Kasich should withdraw from the race because he cannot win the nomination outright. A vote for John Kasich is a vote for Donald Trump, Cruz said Saturday.
But in a series of five tweets Friday, Weaver said the private conversations are all about finding ways the two campaigns can deny Trump the delegates needed to win the nomination on the first ballot . . .

He couldn/t fool evangelicals. Cruz bet a bundle in the south to get their votes. He even took to the lectern, to give a sermon. But evangelicals saw right through the pose....they rejected him handily....his strategy was a big bust.
And then we all stand around scratching our asses and wondering why good people won’t run for political office. One has to be a real sicko to even think about it.
@Realjmannarino @realDonaldTrump @MELANIATRUMP How could they try to hit Melania? She treated Teds girls with love pic.twitter.com/dOmDtdE7sA— Citizens for Trump (@TimeforTruth16) March 24, 2016
This primary election is a charade. Its a lopsided win for Trump. But, We are stuck with the GOPe and a guy trying to steal delegates from a winner and promote a rules change to qualify a win for himself.
Cruz has weaseled wins in small caucus states with oddball vote counting methods and some are certainly questionable (Maine & now LA).
Cruz carried these states:
Virgin Islands. by 30 votes
Wyoming........by 480 votes
Alaska............by 600 votes
Maine.............by 2,500
Teds total votes from 9 wins.
Wyoming....... 620 people and
Virgin Islands 200 people
Alaska..... 8,400
Maine...... 8,500
Kansas... 35,000
Iowa...... 52,000
Utah..... 122,000
Okie..... 158,000
Thats eight states totaling 385,000 votes.
If it wasnt for Texas, hed have a pile of beans!
Cruzs homeTexas win was 1,239,393
Cruz won 9 states with..... 1,724,000 votes
Trump won 21 states, and nearly all the states were won by tens and hundreds of thousands of votes. The millions that have attended his rallies have voted.
Marianas (343peeps)... Hawaii...........6,000
Vermont...... 20,000.....Nevada.........35,000
Kentucky..... 83,000.....N. Hamp.....101,000
Louisiana.... 125,000....Arkansas....133,000
Mississippi...191,000....S. Carolina...241,000
Arizona........250,000.....Mass...........311,000
Tennessee....333,000.....Virginia.......356,000
AlaBama.......372,000.....Missouri......382,000
N. Carolina...458,000.....Michigigan...483,000
Georgia........503,000......Illinois.........557,000
And Florida 1,079,741
Trump won 21 states with 6,020,000 votes. He has a total of 7,897,990 votes and 755 delegates. Thats 290 more than Ted.
Cruzs only way to prevail now is by pure chicanery, just how he began this campaign. It is impossible now for him to have a clean delegate win
Many have been surprised how poorly Teddy Cruz did in the South. His blame Trump comments are so over the top, one wonders where are his advisers. Or are they the problem?
The buzz is ...... several years ago, Heidi filed for legal separation based on Ted/s infidelity. Papers have yet to surface...probably sealed.
Then again, that/s how Obama won his Chicago Senate seat.....David Axelrod finagled to get sealed divorce papers on Obama/s opponent which contained salacious details WRT group sex, etc.
I don’t care how many times it is, or isn’t repeated.
It’s just more of the same crap.
Let’s hurl something into the wind, let’s inject junk into the bloodstream and let’s pretend it means something so we can destroy “whomever”, in this case my Senator Ted Cruz.
Why?
Because of another’s agenda.
Let’s elevate poison to the status of a proven “gospel”.
Let’s manipulate to our heart’s contents.
Only the ignorant and the gullible who can’t, or won’t, check proven facts or reason their way out of a paper bag, will fall for it.
But let’s hope there are more who will fall for it, than there are who won’t.
Right?
No, wrong.
There, I said it.
And the fallout from all of this is...
...President Hillary Clinton.
And just typing that scares me to death.
By this standard Cruz himself should withdraw from the race. The fact that he doesn't makes him a hypocrite. Ted Cruz;"Do as I say, not as I do".
But Cruz is supposed to be the only one capable of beating HRC.
What would happen if people started talking about Trump’s nasty relationships with donkeys?
In Texas, Cruz won only 44% of his home state/s vote.....not even enough to get all the delegates. Trump got a chunk of Texas delegates. Cruz ferreted out victories in a few caucus states known for iffy vote counting methods, places not designed to kickstart a losing campaign.
Now the desperate Cruz camp wants us to believe (via this agit-prop): In 22 states, more than 60 percent of Republican voters have rejected the Donald...
Notice how the anti-vote is never applied to him or to the other candidates.....b/c it blows the argument to smithereens.
=====================================
REALITY CHECK: even though Trump won in Louisiana, Cruz weaseled 10 delegates more. Cruz is all in with the GOPeers. Cruz is doing to Trump what Hillary Democrats are doing to Bernie Sanders ......when he wins he gets screwed and Hillary gets more delegates. Cruz is NOT an outsider by any means and he is being outed in more ways than one.
Pick and choose your points. Trump has won 37% of the total vote and Cruz has won 27%. Neither one has this Tsunami of support that you think Trump has.
Look, most people understand you want to support your guy, who you’ve voted for and trusted. But what if he’s got some really deep secrets?
Go back to 2008 and how the same questions were asked about Obama, only to be told they were racists, rumor-mongers, etc. I’m sorry but it’s really no differnt. We either vet the candidates and have the truth exposed or we do another Obama and just let them assume the highest office in the land without knowing the full truth.
I happen to believe Cruz fooled around, but that’s just my personal opinion subject to future facts and data. But even feeling as I do now if the election were tomrrow and he was the candidate, I would vote for him, because warts and all, he would be a better choice than Hillary.
The more the allegations are substantiated, one way or the others, the better off the nation will be, but it is is not a clean or painless process to get there.

Then we'd know he likes a nice ass. :-)
We are stuck with the GOPe and a guy trying to steal delegates from a winner and promote a rules change to qualify a win for himself.//
There it is. Ted can win caucuses but not elections where people vote secret ballots. Free elections, where voters saw him and about 75% or more rejected him, with most of those going to Trump.
Now Ted figures why do all the work to get votes when you can steal the delegates after the fact?
Ted Cruz = Thad Cochran
And I don’t get where the Trump haters figure Ted can win the general. He can barely get over 20% in southern states. He will lose in a landslide to Hillary.
