After the GOP frontrunner's name was written in chalk on a campus wall, students said they 'feared for their lives.' The school vowed to identify the taggers. But professors at the school are now pushing back.
Support for Donald Trump in the form of chalk markings on campus at Emory College sent the university into a tailspin this week, with the administration scrambling to appease students who felt threatened by the sudden scourge of pro-Trump scribblings on school grounds.
Early Monday, students say, they were "attacked" by Trump's name in large, pastel letters on campus walkways and buildings. "Vote for Trump," "Trump for Pres," "Accept the Inevitable: Trump 2016" and more chalk sloganeering for the Republican presidential frontrunner was written all over the most trafficked areas on campus.
"I legitimately feared for my life," Paula Camila Alarcon, a freshman at Emory who identifies as Latino, told The Daily Beast. "I thought we were having a KKK rally on campus."
Word spread quickly among student minorities and activist groups on social media, including the Muslim Student Association, Emory's NAACP chapter, Black Students at Emory, and LatinAction....

God help us all. This is the reaction of our allegedly best and brightest young people in college nowadays????
Emory isn’t what one would call a school known for its scholarship.
“I legitimately feared for my life,” Paula Camila Alarcon, a freshman at Emory who identifies as Latino, told The Daily Beast. “I thought we were having a KKK rally on campus.”

Stupid people suck. I’m pretty good at expressing my reactions to idiots and the things they say.
But this “KKK” remark floors me.
They are really stupid, and to think somebody is paying a lot for this education.
Perhaps they should sign up for USMC PLC (USMC PLC at Quantico).
Just more whiners. They should be given a personal, portable “Safe Space,” a huge plastic bag, and instructed to enter the bag, seal it up, and breath deeply for about an hour, after which all their fears will disappear permanently.
These students are worthless, useless nobody’s who should live their miserable lives away from society.
I’d like to meet some of them and really offend them.
Dammit! This was supposed to be a secret until AFTER we won.
HEY!
You just micro-aggressed all of Emory University.
Report to your local collegiate diversity and re-education kamp immediately.
See, this is what happens when you take too much Orange Blotter. Next, it’ll be the Cylons and the entire Broadway cast of “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” chasing them across the commons to the Varsity where they will be met by voracious hamburgers and hot dogs all wearing Mr T haircuts and vling
Metrosexual? Ya think?
The pink pants give it away, huh?
My apologies to the moderators but I’m not much older than these students and all I have to say is that they’re a bunch of pussies! What are they ever going to do when their precious little feelings have to meet the real world?
And now.
Well, I guess they need to retreat to their safe spaces.
I’m just speechless. Somebody writes Trump 2016 on a sidewalk, and they are so upset so threatened, they carry on and complain and cry and such??????
I hope we never get in World War III for many reasons. But one such reason is that I don’t think this younger generation could prevail against true evil, as our ancestors did in World War II.
See #10.
The parents who pay $70,000 per year for their kid to attend this overrated university have to be a bit upset. What rational person will now take an Emory graduate seriously? The President of that school has no guts and by his patronizing of those students, he has done great harm to the school. A rational board would have fired him .
Love the pink pants and the keffiyeh. You can’t tell which struggle he’s down for. And neither can he.
