A recent mob attack in St. Paul, Minnesota, illustrated the reason why Second Amendment supporters have pushed so hard to be able to, at minimum, keep a firearms in their vehicle or their workspace. It also illustrates why disarmists have pushed hard to oppose it. The last thing that disarmists want are examples of people who use firearms to defend themselves.
32 year old Bruce Chang was assaulted by a mob of 15 to 30 young men. The attack almost cost him his eye, and could easily have cost him his life. Fortunately, his wife was close by in his home, and armed. The attack would likely have been prevented if his workplace wouldn't have banned the exercise of his Second Amendment rights on their property. From cbslocal.com:
I didnt know I was stabbed but I felt the pressure and fell to one knee, he said. I immediately pushed off, because you got to survive. At least one of Chang's attackers was aiming for the eye socket, endangering Chang's bodily integrity, and his life. The nature of the mob attack meets the requirements for disparity of force. Bruce Change would have been justified in using deadly force to prevent and/or stop the attack. His wife was justified in threatening deadly force with her pistol to stop the attack.
He was assaulted by a mob of 15 to 30 young men gambling on his driveway. They threw rocks and jabbed a stick at his face, striking him just below his left eye.
With one of my older neighbors, who knows what would have happened, Chang said.
Changs wife also has a firearm-carry permit. Because he cant take his pistol to his workplace, Chang didnt have it Monday when he pulled into his driveway.
I’m guessing the cops haven’t arrested any of them so they’ll be back at his house or at one of his elderly neighbors’.
But she did the only thing she could, and thank heaven, her husband will live to see another day. They might want to think of moving out of there if gamblers take over their driveway like that.
To think years ago I'd take my kids up there to visit a relative, then we'd go off on day trips all over the place in the Twin Cities and surrounding places, even at night. Wouldn't do that now.
Back to the story, I wish she'd had an AR-15 and could have blown them all away (I'm in a pi$$y mood because of what happened in Brussels).
That was my first thought.
Gun laws are lax here in NV, though you do need to have a permit to conceal carry (which I totally disagree with).
Open carry is perfectly legal, in the car or on your person and no registration.
Gun ranges offer full auto experiences and advertise it everywhere.
Now if we can just keep any more libs from polluting the state.....hope you can do the same in yours ;)
Hm...sounds like a pack of hyenas, does it not?
I'm a frequent visitor to NV for business. Unfortunately, my WV permit isn't reciprocated any more. Sucks. But Constitutional Carry is spreading the way Shall Issue did. Keep up the fight.

It's a challenge. You're too close to California. We're too close to Maryland and Washington, DC.
That sucks.
but theyd be like 100 years old now?
That's about right.
In Florida you can have loaded gun, holstered (not on your person), in your vehicle. No permit needed.
In Maryland, thanks to O'Malley, you can't have a gun AT ALL, unless it is on an approved list, you pay a fee of over $100 and apply to the state government to own it.
However, this has done nothing to decrease gun crimes in Maryland. But it has done wonders in decreasing gun ownership among the population of law-abiding citizens.
I lived in Minnestoopid for ten years. People there get the vapors if you even spell out the word g-u-n.
I have even seen people react with fear at the expression aw shoot.
:) I don’t remember the kid on the right being in “Angels with Dirty Faces” GREAT Cagney movie :)
Love that show...Fargo
“Young men”, eh? We don’t even have to guess.
I know you were just stating how it is. I just don’t understand why in this day and age every female would not want to carry. Every female that I hang with does. All go with concealed but trust me their weapon is never far from them and always loaded. Quite a group of us go to a local range sometime during the week. We go shopping for ammo, not new clothes. Pretty funny because we’re just a bunch of old, harmless looking gals.

Tell an Iron Ranger he should give up his gun and watch the reaction
0bama’s sons..
But you MUST have a "permit".
Otherwise YOU are a criminal.
Never mind what the 2nd Amendment states.
If you defend yourself with a weapon without a "permit", then YOU are the evildoer, and the SJWs will hound you to the gates of Barky's residence (Obamo himself) and beyond because the alleged attacker "was just turning his life around!"
Count on it.
Two bad she didn’t fire two warning shots about mid chest.
