Is the violence at Trump's Chicago rally a campaign game-changer?

The violence last night in Chicago that resulted in the cancelation of a Donald Trump campaign rally won't affect the votes of the candidate's most ardent supporters – or opponents.

But there are a lot of voters who want to support Trump but aren't sure about him. Then there are voters who lean against supporting Trump but who are persuadable. It is those two classes of voters who could turn this GOP primary campaign on a dime and either give Trump a runaway victory or lead to a loss of support that would hand Ted Cruz a golden opportunity to run off a string of primary wins.

Which way these voters go will depend on their perception of what happened in Chicago and whether Trump himself is responsible for the violence.

That's why I feel the need to support the candidate with the best chance of destroying the media. Conservativism can not flourish without first confronting and defeating the commie-propagandizing media. We have to win this war one battle at a time. GOPe first. Media second.

Yes.

Right. I knew as soon as Trump mentioned Muslims and illegals, hell was going to break loose. I still supported him. We need to face our problems.

While still not a 100% Trump supporter, I have come to admire his grace under fire. It does show something about him — an inner strength, definitely a leadership quality. I find myself warming up to him more, although I hope my opinion is not emotionally, rather than intellectually, based.

I think the rioters are holding up a mirror to what this country will have to deal with should he, or any Republican, lose.
