I wish these Rubio toadies would quit calling themselves conservatives.

And people are saying that Cruz is packing FL with staff to hurt Rubio, I think that Cruz believes he can take FL.

If a brokered convention picks Romney, the GOPe’s win.

I think if that happens than yes, Hillary wins. But it's not a one election issue. The GOP will be done with their base. Kaput, finito. And while donors can keep cash flowing in, they can't manufacture votes when the voters stay home. The GOP will probably fade away to nothing, as they should, and a third party can finally, perhaps, arise. Or should I say an actual second party arise?

Modeled after, say, one Albert Gore, Jr. circa 1988?

What's going to happen in Rubio's home state on the 15th, when the winner gets all 99 delegates?

FiveThirtyEight is is pegging the candidates' chances at Trump 68%, Rubio 31%, Cruz 1%.

I suspect a certain number of Rubio supporters will defect to Cruz, sensing his renewed ant-Trump momentum. That will help to keep Rubio from winning it. We'll see.

Amusing photo from the campaign trail last August:

Rubio will be paid Millions upon Millions for his effort to bring one home for FOX, the Senate, and many Dems.

He is a fraud. He will sign on to Schumer or Clinton and be fabulously wealthy for it.

That's the Truth.

Absolutely! And the same applies to the Trump supporters!

He can still run for his Senate seat again. The filing deadline is not until June 28th. I have been calling this point out since he got into the race.

“If a brokered convention picks Romney, the GOPe’s win.”

...I was prepared to disagree with you as I read the first portion of your comment. Then I read your next sentence...

“Either with Romney or with Hillary.”

...and I have to agree with you.

We are so screwed.

Comments like yours where you insult Trump supporters is very foolish indeed.

Cruz cannot win without the Trump supporters should he get the nomination.

Trump supporters have had enough of it and won’t support Cruz.

I understand them hating Trump, he not one of the Conservakids club, but why so slow to embrace Cruz?

Maybe they don't think he can beat Hillary. That's my main objection.

Rubio is more conservative than most of the GOP nominees in the last 50 years--more so than Romney, McCain, Dole, GHW Bush, Ford, or Nixon. I think it is just the Gang of Eight business that explains the tremendous hostility towards him on the part of many conservatives.

A lot of Trump's success comes from the same issue, from promising to build a wall. My problem is that I don't trust him--I think he is just using that to sucker people into voting for him and has no intention of trying to carry through.

I think Trump tapped into an important issue, on the topic of immigration. Important to America, to Americans, important to candidates. Kudos Trump. (He’s already backtracked a little.)

This represents a sea change for Republicans. Democrats, IMO, are still stuck on stupid on this topic.

Cruz has come out firmly and clearly on immigration, and, just as importantly, amnesty. I don’t think he will back down. Rubio still seems to be straddling some sort of fence (wall?) on this. He could still take a clear and strong stand. It would be good for America if he did. I think it is too late to benefit him this election cycle.

I was taken aback when he got in at all. This round he didn’t have a chance. How odd that he didn’t know it!

It isn't odd at all.

He's an actor playing a politician. His agents and producers, known and unknown, crave power above life itself.

Nothing he's done has been spontaneous. His deal with Schumer pegged his IQ at 90, max.

He cleans up well, and he plays into the donor-media-consultant fantasy about Hispanics ever becoming conservatives.

Now that he's exposed as #rubot, he's going away.

“Modeled after, say, one Albert Gore, Jr. circa 1988?”

Gore is just the empty suited Indian statue selling cigars from days gone by.

Rubio is a fully stuffed 2 piece suit. Just too young and inexperienced. Plenty more passion than Algore.
