Rubio Sacrificed His Campaign to Save America
Redstate ^ | March 6th, 2016 | Leon H. Wolf

Posted on 03/06/2016 8:07:51 PM PST by ObamahatesPACoal

Marco Rubio’s campaign ended yesterday. He won’t acknowledge it and neither will his hardcore supporters for some days, but he is done. It was one thing when he was running more or less even with Cruz across the South, like he did on Super Tuesday, but Rubio has clearly lost his mojo, finishing behind Kasich in Maine and well behind Cruz in Kentucky and Louisiana. Rubio is running out of gas both metaphorically and physically. This is now a race between Cruz and Trump.

I say this as a guy who a couple weeks ago endorse Rubio as the best chance to beat Trump.

I’m having a moment of schadenfreude. I confess, Lord. I am guilty.

HAAAAA, so now they are left with Cruz.

BEST primary ever. What ever happens now, Red State and the rest of the GOPE lose.

Not really.

If a brokered convention picks Romney, the GOPe’s win.

Either with Romney or with Hillary.

The corrupt DC Cartel will continue on as usual either way.

Rubio should think long term. He should know he isn’t going to win this year.

They can keep kidding themselves that they will get a brokered convention. It not happening. What is more likely is they will pull a John Anderson 1980 election year 3rd party spoiler trick again.

No problem, we will just make sure Cruz or Trumps kicks, Hillary and the GOPE spoiler’s butt.

or Rubio stays in and picks up a few delegates here and a few delegates there. Just enough to force a brokered convention and the Romney nomination. I think both Trump and Cruz know the GOPe is up to no good. That is why they have said others should drop out and keep pushing the 2 man race.

What makes on laugh is Red State etc all postur as “Principled Conservative” and “Outsiders” yet they have categorically refused to endorse Cruz until they were forced to it by the voters.

If their principals actual matched their rhetoric, you would expect them to be on Team Cruz from the start. I understand them hating Trump, he not one of the Conservakids club, but why so slow to embrace Cruz?

Which is why you have to figure for these “Conservative Media” types it more about money and access with the GOPe then anything resembling principals. Just hired media guns with no real interest in reason, fact and the will of the people

From the outset of his campaign, I’ve believed that Marco Rubio’s goal for 2016 has been to introduce himself to all 50 states (57 for Democrats). He’s accomplished that goal. I think he has succeeded.

This is media hype. There will be no brokered convention. That is just the losing sides sour grapes. If it came down to it I think Cruz/Trump flipping a coin to see which of them gets it would happen before either would allow a broked convention anointe Romney.

I don’t think people realize how much of an absolute comitment a campaign is. Neither Trump nor Cruz is going to sit by and let them take this away from them.

I was taken aback when he got in at all. This round he didn’t have a chance. How odd that he didn’t know it!

It sounded like he wasn’t well liked in Florida. That this is the end of his political career.
