Following a poor performance on Super Tuesday, Ben Carson announced on Wednesday that he sees no path forward in the race for the Republican nomination and will not attend Thursdays Fox News GOP debate in his hometown of Detroit.
I do not see a political path forward in light of last evenings Super Tuesday primary results, Carson said in a statement. However, this grassroots movement on behalf of We the People will continue. Along with millions of patriots who have supported my campaign for president, I remain committed to Saving America for Future Generations. We must not depart from our goals to restore what God and our Founders intended for this exceptional nation.
Carson said he will address his political future on Friday in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington.

I think Carson’s supporters will vote for Trump, the other non-politician on the ticket.
Remember that Trump was the only one who stood up for Carson in one of the debates.
Hating lying politicians...
Once again you Trump folks like to push this LIE...
Of course, maybe his supporters will look past Trump’s baby killing supporting past... or how he helped fund the establishment and contribute to the corruption in Washington...
Yeah... right.
Carson supporters are likely STRONG anti-Trump folks...
If anything Rubio and Cruz split them...
I believe that Ben Carson and Donald Trump get along quite well!!! I doubt that Ben Carson would ask any of his supporters to go over to Ted Cruz...after what Ted Cruz did to him in stealing his votes in Iowa, that gave Cruz an illegal Iowa victory!!!
TV makes people look like they weigh more. It also makes hyper people look normal, and normal energy people look under energetic. I think it’s sad that people would rule out Ben Carson just because his personality looks under energetic on TV. He is a very fine person of great personal integrity. It is a great loss that the media has never listened to his ideas.
I’d say about 3/4 of this vote goes to Trump. The rest split between Rubio and Cruz.
Now Kasich and Rubio need to go.
Carson hit a high in the RCP average that Cruz has not even reached (24.8% on 4th of Nov. Carson was above Trump then).
It will be interesting to see if Cruz can get above 24.8 at some point.
Of course that was after calling him a PEDOPHILE, but hey, it’s all good, right?
I think it’s academic that most will go to Cruz. Will it be enough to make the difference, probably not.
Not attending the debate, but not suspending his campaign (yet). Announcement Friday.
~$7M cash on hand...gotta look like he’s still doing something so he can use the moolah.
Not sure yet why Carson is still in the race. I don’t like to contemplate it’s for book sales or an appointment angle. When he first came on the scene he was worth taking a good look at, now, not sure he is exactly “all there”.
