For a nature photographer, capturing a scene of epic predation is akin to winning the lottery. Yes, it isn't pretty. But it depicts the real and very much raw struggle to survive that takes place daily in the animal world.
A professional photographer Christopher Martin was touring Banff National Park, when he happened to come across an elk uneasily moving back and forth across a railway overpass, he knew he was in for a scene that portrays real-world wild life struggle for survival. See the rest of the story here.
Why wouldn’t they? I am sure that we would appear as easy prey if we were hiking in the woods.
I have heard people make this claim that it has never happened in this country, and I don’t believe it, not one bit of it. Lib environmentalists would say they were killed out of fear, and I would agree with them.
Where we would disagree with them is that we feel that is well justified. They think we make it all up.
“two things”
Big gun and track shoes to outrun the other guy?
WOW!
>What is more these wolves carry a dangerous disease.<
Care to elaborate? Inquiring minds and all that. We’ve got lots of coyotes in my neck of the woods. No wolves that I’ve heard of. Yet.
Exactly. These wolves are from northern Alberta and were brought in to replace the timber wolf. They are much larger and more aggressive than the timber wolf. Now how would you like to have a few of those in your woods?
They are grabbing pet dogs right and left from front yards and front porches too.
In broad daylight.
It will get worse.
Saw a wolf up here in the UP of MI a couple years ago, thought it was a coyote until we got right up next to it (in a truck). It just sat there staring at us... my lil doggie was going nuts trying to get out. I can’t imagine one that size!! Scary stuff.
Good link...thanks.
Wow! They are huge!!
Dogs eat deer scat.
