Donald Trump was for invading Iraq before he was against it

Donald Trump, with his characteristic bombast, has been claiming during stump speeches that he was always against invading Iraq. The claim is a way to strike at former President George W. Bush and, by extension, former Florida Gov. Jeb. Bush, who is running to be the third of that esteemed family to become president. But, Politico found out that in 2002 Trump expressed support for invading Iraq while on the Howard Stern show.

Blogs are awesome.

Better than diesel when you print ‘em out and use ‘em to light the trash pile.

Wait a minute. How could Trump in 2002 know how weak and non existent the the evidence would be in 2003 , with inspectors finding no WMD in 2003. This doesn’t line up. Trump could not possible ratify bushes invasion over a year later? Right? Based on the facts as presented in 2003 he was against the invasion. There is nothing here.

I don’t care if he was for it or against it, but to keep repeating the msm lie that there were no WMD’s when that has been disproven and even the ny slimes admitted it 10 years too late.

So he is a douche for that.

Or he’s against it as a negotiating ploy and doesn’t really mean it.

DT gave a rather vague statement which supported it in 2002, when the issue first came up, early in GWBs term and not long after 911. When the facts were better known, and before the invasion of Iraq, Trump came out against it.

So, what's your point? You guys sure do have a fascination for old out-of-date stories.

Cruz supporters are so desperate. I have never seen a bunch of bitter people. I guess it is probably because Cruz is giving up on SC and going to Nevada. I don't blame him. Why stay in a state that you are going to be embarrassed.

Trump has not been able to show a single argument that he made against the war until almost a year after the invasion

You're full of it. Trump publicly opposed the war within days after it started in March, 2003.

You're full of crap. Name another GOP candidate running that opposed the Iraq war the month it started like Trump did:

When the facts were better known, and before the invasion of Iraq, Trump came out against it.

Prove it. He didn't coe out against it until months after Michael Moore released Fahrenheit 9/11

The significant thing here is that Trump changes his position all the time and his statements are worthless.

So, what's your point? You guys sure do have a fascination for old out-of-date stories.

Busted! Your boy Trumo brought up the out-of-date story.

And bringing up Bush served one purpose: to bring down Republicans and help Democrats. Whatever your opinion, the public hearing about Bush is bad for Republicans.

Trump was latching on to Obama's, 'everything is Bush & Republicas' fault mantra.'

Trump said a lot of things on the Howard Stern show.

Most of them related to his enormous success at having sex with other men’s wives. Way to go, Donald.

But all or most of those tapes are available. Will Trump once again call Trump a liar?

Congrats, Trump supporters.

Your fearless leader has gotten everyone sidetracked on discussing the Iraq War.

There were dissenters then but mostly democrats.

Trump has succeeded in making so-called conservatives fight that war again.

And to what purpose.

Nothing can be gained but give ammunition to the dems in the general election.

What is wrong with your Guy, Trump???

What the heck are you talking about? Jeb Bush is lower than 5%. Talking about him now just helps him get attention.

Look folks. What’s past is past and should be forgotten.

What really matters is Trump’s opinion NEXT week when it changes.

Will you denounce in strongest terms any thought of a Jeb candidacy? There shouldn't be a reason not to. Unless you're not as thrilled as most of us are about his low poll numbers.

It goes like this: I will NEVER vote for Jeb as President or VP of the United States. The propping up of his campaign by the elite has been an extreme insult to Constitutional Conservatives, and such maneuvers cannot be tolerated.

Do you agree with that statement?

Agree with you on this one. Bush got off track..I was for it in the beginning, but once we captured Hussein we should have bailed and said who is next? Then at least we would not have to use military again. Our word of threat would do the trick.

Thank you. We can’t even begin to discuss this campaign unless we totally reject any thought of a Jeb candidacy.
