Ted Cruz Got Donald Trump to Defend Planned Parenthood on Stage in South Carolina

That was one of the most amazing parts of the CBS Debate and Cruz at his finest.

In a feisty exchange related to core principles, Cruz pointed out that Donald Trump had said the federal government should fund Planned Parenthood. Not only did Trump agree that the federal government should fund Planned Parenthood, but Trump praised all the good work Planned Parenthood does.

Look for that to be turned into an ad rather quickly. Cruz seriously kicked the snot out of Donald Trump on stage. In fact, during the course of this, Cruz said he liked Trump and Trump thanked Cruz. Less than a minute later, Trump was turning on Cruz like Jekyll turning to Hyde. It was bizarre.

Cruz got under Trump’s skin and played it perfectly.

Cruz was being entirely misleading yet again.

Getting and taking really bad political advice this year. Has cost him 2 votes so far.

“I draw the line at abortion”.

If I heard it then so did everyone else.

Oh it was clearly stated, as he has innumerable times.
Yet the Cruz contingency have missed it every time. But in their defense I understand there is a selective hearing requirement, to join that club.

When Cruz fails to finish no better than 3rd in SC, his candidacy will be over.

Trump (PBUH): “Planned Parenthood does wonderful things and we should not defund it.”

Every POTUS candidate “supports” PP because Congress is going to fund it regardless of who is in the WH. Sorry, you’re just being used. Your beliefs are being used as a political football by self interested careerists who know full well that PP will not be defunded in the foreseeable future.

He did not praise it. He praised the non-controversial aspects that are obviously overshadowed by it’s primary funding source-—abortions.

Trump (PBUH): “Planned Parenthood does wonderful things and we should not defund it.”

Cruz (PBUH): “Goldman Sachs does wonderful things and excuse me while I stuff my pockets with their millions.”

RE: Every POTUS candidate “supports” PP because Congress is going to fund it regardless of who is in the WH.

You are deluded. No successful nominee for the GOP has EVER voiced support for Planned Parenthood. Indeed, they’ve always stated Planned Parenthood was evil and should be defunded. Sorry, you can have your own opinion but you can’t alter facts.

Yes Trump flip flopped again, but how does that Make Cruz misleading? Cruz is an accomplished negotiator, he was able to expose Trumps abortion support. I think Ted Cruz would do well in negotiations with Putin.

He would cut off money for abortions and “defended” what little true women’s health care like pap tests and breast examines they do. Mark, you can let go of that straw now.

Thank you for proving my point. Fact is PP has not and will not be defunded. It’s all hot air from candidates. Apparently in your zeal to bash Trump you are unable to discern that “fact”. Cruz is manipulating good folks like you to advance he career because he knows full well PP is not going to be defunded.

You’re crazy.

Sorry, no other way to put it when someone denies a reality right in front of them.

Or you may just be on a payroll.

Wow You accuse Ted of being owned for borrowing a million bucks and paying it all back, but excuse Trump for having open loans worth hundreds of millions and a real estate empire that DEPENDS on bank loans!

Come on, try a little harder to think.

My only proxmity to a PP facility was as part of a protest. But, I have known of women who got non-abortion services there. I would prefer to eliminate PP completely and women can just go to their doctors.

As far as health care is concerned Trumps position is that insurance companies should compete across state lines. For those too needy to be able to take care of themselves, and they are out there - especially these days, then there should be a sort of Medicaid system to pick up the pieces for them - since “we can’t have people dying in the streets”. I don’t disagree with that.

The real point here is to drain support from Trump for any reason so the globalists can continue to destroy what it used to mean to be an American citizen. Last night’s debate was tough, the deck was stacked like it has always been, the RNC made sure it would be ugly, and today they have their stories.

But meanwhile 1400 more jobs to Mexico....and it will continue if they have their way. I wonder if we’ll be too distracted to see the big picture.
