Ted Cruz Got Donald Trump to Defend Planned Parenthood on Stage in South Carolina
The Resurgent ^ | February 13, 2016, 11:04pm | Erick Erickson

That was one of the most amazing parts of the CBS Debate and Cruz at his finest.

In a feisty exchange related to core principles, Cruz pointed out that Donald Trump had said the federal government should fund Planned Parenthood. Not only did Trump agree that the federal government should fund Planned Parenthood, but Trump praised all the good work Planned Parenthood does.

Look for that to be turned into an ad rather quickly. Cruz seriously kicked the snot out of Donald Trump on stage. In fact, during the course of this, Cruz said he liked Trump and Trump thanked Cruz. Less than a minute later, Trump was turning on Cruz like Jekyll turning to Hyde. It was bizarre.

Cruz got under Trump’s skin and played it perfectly.

“I draw the line at abortion”.

If I heard it then so did everyone else.

Trump made it clear that what happened with abortion and Planned Parenthood was unacceptable and even talked about shutting down the government over it this summer. Cruz was being entirely misleading yet again.

If a politician is for Planned Parenthood, wants Universal Healthcare, and blames Bush, common sense dictates that he be called a progressive democrat. No, but his name is Donald Trump and he is going to conserve conservatism.

If you support Planned Parenthood, then you support abortion.

Period.

Do you support the Nazi experiments because they produced *some* helpful medical data? No? Then don’t support PP because they have *some* helpful services.

Actually Trump doesn’t care about abortion. He has one driving obsession and that is cash flow and the deals that will give him cash flow.

“Cruz was being entirely misleading yet again.”

It is what is.
We all heard Trumps words affirming that PP does some good things.
There are thousands of alternatives to PP in providing healthcare to woman.
Why isn’t Trump smart enough to desire to drive a stake through PP, and direct any healthcare funds for woman to other entities?
Its not that complex.

How many babies has Cruz and the rest of the hot air careerist GOP saved? Zero.

Cruz cherry picks parts of conversation to make national accusations. I seriously don’t know how anyone can continue to support him, he’s negative, dishonest, and a liar.

Trump advocated shutting down the government over the abortion issue and planned parenthood. Cruz was being deceptive yet again.

The real question should be how many abortions has Trump paid for.

CRUZ: I will say, it is fairly remarkable to see Donald defending Ben after he called, "pathological," and compared him to a child molester. Both of which were offensive and wrong.

But let me say this - you notice Donald didn't disagree with the substance that he supports taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood. And Donald has this weird pattern, when you point to his own record he screams, "liar, liar, liar." You want to go...

TRUMP: Where did I support it? Where did I...

CRUZ: You want to go...

TRUMP: Again, where did I support it?

CRUZ: If you want to watch the video, go to our website at Tedcruz.org.

TRUMP: Hey Ted, where I support it?

CRUZ: You can see it out of Donald's own mouth.

TRUMP: Where did I support?

CRUZ: You supported it when we were battling over defunding Planned Parenthood. You went on...

TRUMP: That's a lot of lies.

CRUZ: You said, "Planned Parenthood does wonderful things and we should not defund it."

TRUMP: It does do wonderful things but not as it relates to abortion.

CRUZ: So I'll tell you what...

TRUMP: Excuse me. Excuse me, there are wonderful things having to do with women's health.

CRUZ: You see you and I...

TRUMP: But not when it comes to abortion.

CRUZ: Don, the reasoned principle matters. The reasoned principle matters sadly was illustrated by the first questions today. The next president is going to appoint, one, two, three, four Supreme Court Justices.

If Donald Trump is president, he will appoint liberals. If Donald Trump is president, your Second Amendment will gone...

Cruz was not misleading. I heard Trump say that Planned Parenthood does good things for women. What good things? Planned Parenthood does abortions. They sell aborted body parts. They also teach kids that it’s fun to have sex. I have never heard that they do anything positive.

It doesn’t matter. Funding for Planned Parenthood funds abortions. PERIOD! FReepers used to know that! Now they play dumb in order to defend Trump! Even if the money given to Planned Parenthood was specified for operations other than abortions (it’s not), it would free up the funds from other operations to be moved to abortion operations because of the funding. So any money given to Planned Parenthood would fiund abortion and baby organ harvesting whether directly or indirectly. Why are FReepers pretending to be stupid just because Trump wants taxpayers to fund Planned Parenthood? Why not just admit he is wrong on this issue instead of adopting his liberal position which is a lie?

GOP budget resolutions support Planned Parenthood 100%

The proof is in the recent budget continuation resolution that passed both GOP led houses.

Note to Ericsson and Cruz, your party loves abortion and the selling of baby parts. Trump has nothing to do with it.

Defending any aspect of “Planned Butcherhood” is like
trying to pick up a big old excrement log by the clean
end. Abortion’s clearly “big bidness” for them.

No candidate who supports Planned Parenthood should ever be supported by conservatives. Any who supports a candidate who supports Planned Parenthood is immoral and a parasite.
