New abundance of food and fodder in the world is not only a result of genetic modifications. Greening of the world is also the consequence of the atmospheric carbon dioxide level thatâs beneficial to plants worldwide
The world is going green â literally, in all kinds of places that were desert-like before.
Have you ever been in an airplane crossing the semi-arid foot hills of the Rocky Mountains and looking down at the ground? Youâll have seen large green, circular patches between the miles of dry brown land. Those patches are irrigated fields sprouting vegetables and fruits of various kinds. They are providing the ample food for the supermarket near you â and the world at large.
Plants need just a few things to grow, water, nutrients, and sunshine. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is just one of those vital nutrients. However that CO2 has become more readily available, thanks to mankindâs combustion of fossil fuels.
Anyone who was awake during 8th grade science class knows this. I have often wondered about the demise of the mega fauna (really large animals) and wondered if the sequestration of so much carbon via natural machinations could be responsible for reducing the biomass of he planet sufficiently that the mega fauna hit their tipping point.
The left is very anti-science, in spite of what they say about folks who do not believe in global warming.

I went to a market where I saw genetically modified figs the size of grapefruits. I bought one and ate it. Tasted like...nothing. Rubbery, tasteless goo. But it was filling !
