You knew it was coming!
Donald Trump said in an interview that rival Ted Cruzâs Canadian birthplace was a âvery precariousâ issue that could make the Texas senator vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee.
âRepublicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: âDo we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?â Thatâd be a big problem,â Trump said when asked about the topic.
This is how Donald Trump operates: whenever he's threatened by someone in the polls, he tries to smear his opponents. He did so with Dr. Ben Carson, calling him pathological, and he now does the same with Ted Cruz by trying to convince voters he isn't eligible to become president because he wasn't born in the United States.
Sadly for the billionaire businessman, however, there is one minor problem: in September of last year he admitted that Cruz is eligible:
"From what I understand everything is fine. I hear that it [Cruz's eligibility] was checked out by every attorney, in every which way, and I understand that Ted is in fine shape."
As Mark Levin says: "Oh my."
It goes to show just how sad a man Trump is. He doesn't have actual arguments to use against Cruz, and so he makes it personal and utterly dishonest. The man has no scruples, no moral compass to guide his actions. He's just willing to do whatever it takes to become the Republican nominee; if he has to lie and smear to do so, he'll do it.

The attacks on cruz by democrats on this issue have already started
Not many Presidentials come out of Canada—except Chester Arthur.
The democrats have already started using this to attack Cruz so Trump is 100% right that this will be used to slander and attack Cruz

More , Trump is warning him that this is a issue he must confront and not ignore , Hillary will be relentless using this against them in the primary
This is really lame. Since many conservatives wanted to use the eligibility card with Obama they must use it with Cruz.
To not do so is logically inconsistent.
“Desperate, Dishonest Donald Trump...”
Conservative media has officially become a joke.
And watch these people STILL moan and whine when leftist outlets turn this on Cruz if he happened to win.

Thanks for the link....it should help add clarity and rationality to the “discussions” here...but it probably won’t.
If you want to call that an attack. But even if that's what it was meant as they're still late to the game. Trump was questioning Cruz's eligibility back in March of 2015 and before: Link
Trump is the drunk in the bar. He doesn’t have basic knowledge of anything outside of manipulation of people to get what he wants. Thinking people would know that from him trashing Scalia and supporting affirmative action. And hundreds of other things. It is a cult. Nothing matters to his hardcore supporters. The progressives he would appoint to the bench make me cringe.
Time to send money to Cruz. Who by the way actually have raised almost $47 million from the little guys like me.
Trump has electrolytes. And plants need electrolytes.
So, yeah, you're right.
But now, after years of fake pandering and whining from "conservatives", there's still no process. Trump is correct. Many judges in the US have gone insane, and the Constitution has no relevance to whatever their agenda is. The dems will play tough. If the issue isn't settled, you'll have the inauguration put on hold, or the VP inaugurated. We'd have to be very careful about who Cruz chose as a VP.
One thing I've noticed. Most often, Trump's out-there proclamations that cause a frenzy are absolutely 100% true. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Trump has heard some whisperings of plans to tie up any Cruz nomination in the courts.
Are There John McCain Birthers, Too?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2350092/posts
[There sure were. His father was stationed in Panama, serving the USA, and the rats even questioned McCain’s status.]
Trump is pointing out that the democrats would go âbirtherâ on Cruz. You bet they will no matter what reality is. And Cruz must show he is prepared to handle it.
[Cruz starting off with humor is a good idea BTW.]
A baby bonus was introduced in Canada following the Second World War. A family allowance scheme known as the “baby bonus” made regular monthly payments of $5 to $8 to all parents of children under 16.
Did Cruz’ family take this baby bonus? Were they eligible to take it? If they did, he has a problem. He said he did not know he had dual Canadian citizenship. That his mother said he had to apply for it.
I don’t know the answer here or the rules that apply.
“Many judges in the US have gone insane, and the Constitution has no relevance to whatever their agenda is.”
Right. There are many activist ‘justices’ [aka ‘just-us’] who will give Obama a pass and flip-flop their opinions to smack down a conservative.
We cannot trust the courts. The rats will attempt to coordinate with them and even ‘judge-shop’ to the best of their ability.
Trump is a salesman. He knows the art of the deal, and he knows he has to say whatâs necessary to win. He was willing to say nice things about the Clintons, praise them, donated money to them, invite them to his third wedding, claim Hillaryâd make a great president, and that Bill Clintonâs harassment of women did not matter. Now, he knows he must say what will help him win the nomination. What does he really think or believe? Whatever he needs to say; itâs situational.
The Media has just given up on doing anything resembling journalism.
They are just flat out lying and exaggerating now.
Cruz is an outanding Constitutional scholar who has pled cases before the Supreme Court, however, so it is difficult to imagine your fears coming true, but I can still imagine it happening.
