Happy New Year, suckers
That âaffordableâ health care the Democrats gave us in 2010 - on a reconciliation vote when none of them had read the entire 2,000-plus-page bill - sure keeps getting harder to afford. Of course, since ObamaCare is an unconstitutional mandate on individuals to purchase a product offered by private companies, itâs also quite difficult to afford not buying it - even though the product itself continues to devolve further into craptasm.
Welcome to 2016, where the penalty youâll face for not buying a product thatâs now a bigger ripoff than ever will explode as follows:
In time, very few people will be able to afford this at all. The premise in the first place is wrong. The problem is not people having or not having health insurance. The problem is access to health care. And this is the issue that should have been addressed in the first place.
“Craptasm” - first neologism of the New Year.
I’m going to go where the undocumented go to get documents, I’ll be Juan Valdez, unemployed coffee bean harvester and get all the free government bennies and insurance that U.S. citizens don’t.
You honestly believe they were trying to address and fix anything?
Low wage earners can’t afford it. When it comes to lights, gas, water, rent or obamacare...guess who gets the money.
It is exactly as I knew it would be. So frustrating to have been proven right.
Please everyone consider health share companies this year. Opt out, and be exempt from the tax penalty. We use liberty health share. We are happy. Our money goes to help others pay their bills and vice versa.
Hey Trump and Cruz— run on repealing the OblahMaoCare opt out IRS penalties and make that retroactive to include 2015-16. Hellary won’t dare propose such a thing to offend King Barry’s law— I tell you that’s a winner all around.
I told him to adjust his deductions so that he owes the gov at the end of the year.
The middle class cannot afford health care now.
For many it is not even close. My health care for a famiy of five is more than my mortgage. Also, the health care plan sucks.
That’s funny. They just denied my wife a passport because they said her birth certificate was incorrect. She was born in 62 in NY when things like raised seals weren’t common.
They are forcing her to find the doctor who delivered her so he can vouch for it. He’s been dead 40 years. Told my wife it would have been easier to declare herself an illegal.
I haven’t needed a passport, yet, but I wonder how it will play out. My birth certificate has my parent’s surname prior to citizenship and all my ID has the surname chosen at citizenship.
Not to go Word Girl on anyone but the regime and media have co-opted the word to incite sympathy.
Per Merriam-Webster: Full Definition of access (tr)
a. permission, liberty, or ability to enter, approach, or pass to and from a place or to approach or communicate with a person or thing b. freedom or ability to obtain or make use of something c. a way or means of access
There's nothing about "access" meaning a method of PAYMENT!

I agree! Good call!
Pelosi and the entire democrat congress who ran this evil bill through should be tried fro treason against the sovereigns and every one of them spend the rest of their verminous lives living in a prison of ONLY them, on hard rations and rock busting. Bastards are the enemies of the people!
Does anyone here know for sure that the “fine” can only be taken out of your refund and that the IRS does not have the authority to put a lean on your property or garnish your wages or bank account to collect the fine.
I remember this being a much discussed topic over a year ago, but never could find out if it was true or not.
If his premium is $600/month and he has an annual copay, it would be much cheaper to pay the IRS penalty even with the higher 2016 penalties.
I have news for you. The middle class couldn’t afford it before, either. It just seemed like they could because the costs were always being paid by others (employers, Medicare, etc.).
The author did not mention that the Republican Party could have repealed it and did not. There is the problem.
