Does anybody know how to completely reset an Ipad mini?
My mother won an Ipad mini a few years ago, but has lost the ownership slip showing that it is hers. Consequently, the Apple store will not do a reset for her because she cannot prove it is hers.
Somebody has put a password on it. We don't who did that and we don't know the password, that is why we need to reset it, because the Ipad mini will not allow access unless we know the password.
Thanks for any help.
Send it to Hillary. She can wipe it clean. Like she did at the debate, on the toilet.
Give it a ‘220 volt charge till you smell it cooking and tell apple it just stopped working. They’ll give you a new one.
Apple sometimes stocks referbs. These would have been sold new, opened, and then returned for whatever reason within the first two weeks. Apple does a complete checkout of these items and warrents them like new. Not as cheap as used, but you can be assured hey are not stolen!
Oh, it will be wifi only. Thanks for the tips, this purchase will be in our future.
Hold the 2 buttons down simultaneously for about 30 seconds. That should unlock it.
That worked for me when mine locked up inexplicably several months ago. Has not happened since.
You should ask her to think if that may have happened, and if so, she may be able to remember what pin code she used. Think about birthdays or other numbers she may have used. 0000 and 1234 are very common. Hopefully, you can figure it out. If you can't figure it out, read this:

A copy of RedSnow and data cable hooked to your computer should allow you to do a reset
