Things Cruz would face as GOP nominee that Trump wouldn’t have to
Coach is Right ^ | 12/9/15 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

It would be great to have Ted Cruz as our next president. So many things could be fixed and so much good could be done. It’s a very pleasant dream but nothing more.

There are a number of difficult problems Cruz would have to face as the Republican nominee that Donald Trump wouldn’t have deal with.

Cruz was born in Canada, to an American mother and a Cuban citizen father. Like it or not, Cruz would have to fight a continual battle to prove his eligibility. He only gave up his duel Canadian citizenship in May 2014 when the media called him on this.

Trump has no such problem.

Cruz voted for the Coker Bill that made the Iran Nuke deal impossible to stop.

Trump has always been very critical of the deal.

Cruz has been and would be totally dependent on donated money to run his campaign. It would be a tough uphill fight that would eat into his campaigning time.

Trump is self-financed and owes no one anything.

Cruz would be constantly asked to explain how he would fix the economy and try to do so with few credentials in this area.

Trump’s domestic long suit is the economy.

Cruz has come out against excluding Muslims which will make him the target should there be another Islamic lunatic attack.

Trump’s position will win out.

While not doing well with Blacks and Hispanics would not necessarily be fatal to Cruz, given his ethnicity, he would be badgered into an “either pander or perish” position and be a loser either way.

Currently Trump’s getting between 13% and 25% of Black support and 31% with Hispanics.

The RNC can stop Cruz with a number of little things they could not get away with on Trump. They could schedule a...

I believe the following reason provided by the Coach is too cautious, though that may be deemed necessary for publication purposes:

Cruz has come out against excluding Muslims which will make him the target should there be another Islamic lunatic attack.

As we enter the Christian and Jewish holiday season, I believe the Muslim threat level is not should there be but when there is another Islamic lunatic attack. Given the number of Muslims we have in the country, I would say the likelihood of another attack happening very soon is close to 100%.

Obummer has produced a US birth certificate. That makes him NBC without any doubt, unless someone can prove in a court that his birth certificate is not genuine.

Likability of a smooth talking Reagan with years and years in acting and radio broad casting, with Cruz, is not even in the same ball park.

Excellent point.

Personally, I think Cruz faces all these hurdles now, and that is why he has not cut it in the primary, with us national security fanatics.

Mostly it’s appalling about the leniency he has shown for the comfort of illegal invaders already in the USA, on pathways to get them “out of the shadows”, and his insane proposal for increasing the numbers of high skilled foreign workers, astronomically, to the disturbance and outrage of American parents who paid for their kids to graduate college and now find it hard enough already to find work, above that is a RUTH CRIST STEAKHOUSE!

I know parents who are not even listening to Cruz anymore on that one. He is in the weeds back peddling, but even his back peddling sucks. Something about a 180 day “delay”. I mean, COME ON!

TRUMP has never gone bankrupt. Your saying so does not resonate. He chaptered 4 businesses and he stayed in business to sale time. This is what self made billionaire types have done all the way to the top.

Are you uninformed entirely, or too stupid for words, or prostituting the truth to see what Neanderthal it might hang on, here. LOL! Sheesh.

What have you done for employing thousands, in a blue state?
There are ONLY unions to deal with for labor, but surely you knew that. Are you even serious? Trump should not be in business because there are unions for labor needs in New Jersey and New York? LOL!!!

And, of course TRUMP should never be politically responsible and vote in New York, I mean, who else runs but Democrats up there???? LOL!!

As for the Syrian refugees. ROTFL!!!!! Trump said it, yes, we have to take in some of the refugees. He said they are being crucified and drowned, for the love of GOD.

They were CHRISTIANS, you dope!

You have nothing on illegal aliens. Nothing. They go, unless they are citizens by now, for years and years, in college, working, and with clean records, off welfare.

Since you obviously don’t follow anything Trump has been driving home for months, you are making a contemptible fool of yourself. Some could say you are plain and simply, a LIAR, on sight.

Now, I wouldn’t say that, right off, but “some” might say that, on sight.

Thanks for the notification. I will remember it! I also didn’t know that! I was too overwhelmed by both the high level of ignorance and arrogance and the astonishing first grade level of reasoning.

I suppose everyone has a crazy cousin in the attic that does more harm to the family name than good. Embarrassing, but as a practice of charity, the family must ignore, overlook, and indulge.

I wondered why no one responds to him on this thread! Silly me.

Thanks, sweetie. Rita

Is there any candidate we could run who would not get savaged?

Are you serious?

Are you awake?

Or have you been sleeping for twenty years?

Trump’s liberal past will be like candy to the media.

I want my candidate to be able to handle the incoming without flailing, yelling, or going off in grudge-holding Twitter wars.

Cruz all the way, baby.

Media has already thrown everything but the kitchen sink at Trump.
Yes, I’m serious.
Yes, I’m awake.
Good luck with Cruz.

"Media has already thrown everything but the kitchen sink at Trump."

Oh, yeah, there's no dirt left to use on him. He would get the nomination and just cruise right on in, LOL.

They haven't touched his liberal past. That wouldn't happen if he were the nominee.

If this is how you defend Trump then you will be turning off Cruz, Carson supporters. No need to personally attack in order to defend your candidate. Every sentence I wrote will be used against Trump. You don’t like it, tough.

Oh, you didn’t offend me at all. I thank you, again. I am sorry if something I wrote made you think you did offend me. Far from it, trisham. I kind of went ballistic and maybe that carried over in my post to you, in some way I don’t quite recognize.

I appreciated the heads up very, very much. Sorry if I was somehow confusing and I didn’t mean to be. At all. I was caught up in a spew still, maybe, but it wasn’t meant to be for you, or to you.

Thanks, very much, trisham.

Yes, I was rattling on, in my post to you, while still in a rage at what I had encountered.

Since, you warned that it was a lost cause, I was taking your advice, saying to you that we all have a crazy cousin sometimes that we must learn to ignore, in the name of charity, for being just completely “out of touch” to both facts and reason.

I assumed you knew whom it was that I was talking about. My bad. Thanks, for your reply. I am so happy to be in your graces again, so thanks for letting me know that. I shall endeavor to stay there. Thanks, so much, trisham!
