Knowing this article came from the Compost is all that is needed to deduce where this tripe was going.
And lo and behold . . . .
“As the Earth edges toward another mass extinction â this one almost certainly caused by the emissions of human industry â Schmidt believes it’s important to pin down a culprit for the death of the dinosaurs.”
My wife roasts excellent stuffed dinosaur.
The whole concept of tasty, tasty dinosaurs does draw a bit fitful, in my mind.
;D
tacticalogic, so then you agree that dinosaur bones are not millions of years old? If it is not the carbon dating then what proof is it that they point to to claim that dinosaurs all died out before man came upon the earth?
I've seen no evidence presented to support the assertions that
1. It's impossible for the remains found to have survived in that condition for millions of years.
Or
2. That the age was established using carbon dating.
You seem to want me to agree with you based on nothing more than the fact that you can't support your own arguemnts. That's insane.
I guess dinosaurs could swim for 40 days.
I guess dinosaurs couldn’t swim for 40 days.
You’re wasting your time.
Thanks - excellent sound on that upload.
The paper I read specifically agreed with you. It said small, omnivorous, burrowing mammals were ideally adapted to the sudden world wide fire damage.
Also interesting - there is a dramatic increase in snake fossils and snake diversity after 66 mya.
I will guess that most of the amphibians came through in good shape, too.
Birds of prey didn't show up for another 20 million years, but I think they might have survived well in that new world, except possibly their eggs would have been vulnerable since most of the trees burned down.
Of course, everyone knows who will be the final two opponents in the Last Battle On Earth...
New York City Sewer Rats - versus - South Florida Palmetto Bugs
I think the cockroaches will eat the survivors...
