Alex is one of the guys I will take stuff from when the SHFT. He is an idiot.
I didn’t read the rest of the article as I can pretty much guess what it is about.
I wish I could afford to buy more supplies. I will be OK with water but in the Summer my house is just not built for heat. Now my parents old house was very comfortable in the warmer months. They don’t build them like that any more.
Or it could be cheap insurance for not watching your kids starve or a zombie raping your wife with a knife to your throat...
It doesn’t sound like he was a boy scout. Or, wasn’t very good at it. You don’t have to be a “doomsday” prepper to be prepared. Water and extra food are the minimum to be prepared for any emergency. A gun with sufficient ammo is also good as well as basic medical supplies. But, I agree with the rest, HE IS A MORON.
Prepping has as much validity as does buying health or life insurance. Even the Bible has mention that Christians lay by and store. It never hurts to be prepared. It hurts when disaster strikes and one is not prepared. I was able to send a lot of help to my friends in South Mississippi after Katrina as much of the stores were out of everything necessary to survive during the first week after the storm.
Whatever. Thanks for playing.
His logic is that if 1/3 of us die, that takes us back to the 1970s - not so bad. if 2/3 die, that takes us to 1900, and even 90% is 1860’s population. He is thinking 90% dead is no big deal because Abe Lincoln made it with that many people. He seems to be (1) oblivious to the side effects of so many deaths, and (2) oblivious to the possibility that he can influence whether he dies.
Goody for him.
A man or woman that will not save his or her family and his or her own life is not worthy of surviving if things turn bad. He or she will be but booty for the bad, their possessions swag and their children the innocent victims of their stupidity and craven cowardice.

We ate from all that canned food all winter. It wasn't a matter of preparing for disaster, it was simply how we lived.
I wouldn't call myself a hard-core prepper, and I don't live on a farm, but I did learn from my parents that having some supplies laid by means you can survive a setback of some kind.
He might want to rethink his position.
Living hand to mouth is for idiots.
:Sigh:
What does this person think is going to happen with all the bodies?
Does he think they will just vanish?
Not clicking that link. I am not a doomsday prepper either. However, I do have contingency plans in case of emergencies, and whatever events I think might happen.
It is the way I grew up, and a way of life. No one called it “prepping” then, it was just common sense, and still is.
