Last week for several days I saw a Turkish flag flying above the Connecticut State Capitol.
Does anyone know why? And why is it in the center while the U.S. flag is off to the side and lower?
If you were right there, why didn’t you find out then?
If I saw a foreign flag flying higher than Old Glory I would find out.
Public employee mistook it for a mosque?
Would not surprise me.
Bump.
Because I was going to the hospital.
I hope you are well now.
I think you see my point.
The person I was visiting survived. I wasn’t sure they would.
Connecticut has capitulated....
But they did.
Check the state link in the post below, and they show you all the flags they've flown over the state capitol.
One of them is the flag of Communist China. No kiddin', FRiend.
The Turkish-flag photo is a little dated; they did that back in 2007, according to the linked society-newsletter page.
The one that made me double-take, after the Chinese flag, was the flag of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan? Really? Where's Borat?
And St. Lucia? You're kidding me, right?
<sigh>
Caliphate established
Unbelievable here, too.

(use slider at bottom of photo to see US flag.)
That’s good news.
Nice dome! I want one for my shed.
WOW, beautiful building!!!!
Thanks.
According to this web entry, Connecticut surrendered to Turkey back in 2008.

Ok... and apparently Connecticut whores its mast out to flag requests. Why the main one where the US flag should be? Don’t know, I’d like to see them answer for that.
Here is past flags they have flown. Wonder what would happen when someone expresses their first Amendment rights an asks for a Nazis or Confederate flag?
