Last week for several days I saw a Turkish flag flying above the Connecticut State Capitol.
Does anyone know why? And why is it in the center while the U.S. flag is off to the side and lower?
OMG!!!
Did Connecticut fall behind in their payments to the Ottoman Empire?
Because they couldn’t find a communist flag.
They should have looked in New Haven, Ct. Literally run by Communist Party USA leader Joelle Fishman, a good friend of Rep. Laura De Rosa (D-Ct).
Whatever a-hole did that should be publicly flogged.
Looks like people can request a foreign flag to fly if this website is legit.
Unbelievable to me.

Next will be the ISIS flag flying over the US Capitol building.
That’s the website of the General Assembly, it’s legit.
The US flag should be in the center, any other flag should be off to the side.
Governor Malloy must have inadvertently insulted a Turkish employee and this is his act of penance. Now he feels omnipotent again.
Agreed, you’re absolutely right!
Any other flag should also be lower than the US flag.
ISIS flag next?
THE FLAG - Position and manner of display

That’s Rosa DeLauro but I get your drift.
That explains it. Good detective work.
Thanks.
This isn’t new, the Southern New England Turkish American Cultural Association has been organizing this for a while. They fly it for Republic Day[Turkey], for 10 days.
7g. reads, “When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace.”
7c. starts, “No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America...”
7c. later on reads (emphasis ours), “No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof...”
An ass needs to be kicked...
4 U.S.C. § 7(c) [in relevant part] No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof
BIG TIME!
