For the last two years, the Islamic State, better known as ISIS or ISIL, has conquered and murdered and tortured its way across the Middle East, in a reign of terror, not seen by the world since World War II. ISIS is not a terrorist group, but rather a paramilitary organization, which is desperately attempting to become a nation state and one powered by fear, intimidation and death.
The US has failed miserably in its attempt to defeat ISIS. In all honesty, its hard to defeat ISIS when you really arent fighting them at all. The US led air campaign against ISIS is something out of MASHs Five OClock Charlie, the incompetent North Korean pilot in a World War I biplane, who, armed with one bomb, never hits anything.
Under Operation Inherent Resolve, US aircraft attempt to fly a half a dozen of sorties a day and usually return with their ordnance because of a lack of US controllers on the ground.

Blame Obama yes, but this is Bush’s fault too.
He thought he was going to create Canada in the Middle East, that was a very, very stupid idea. We should have planned to go in there and sit on their heads for a generation or two, forget all this “freedom lives in the human heart”, although I admit I agreed with that at the time I now see that it is not correct.
We should have opened about a thousand cans of whoop ass, but instead it was a thousand cans of worms.
More proof you don’t have to be a prophet to see the future it is evident to those who recognize the past and have awareness of the present, I think you are exactly correct in your summation.
I don’t see obama doing anything to prevent it, in fact he is encouraging it, and I think he plans on it happening while he is still in office, he is after all the supreme imam/caliph of the islamic world bent on fulfilling his destiny, and there is not anybody anywhere willing to stop him as long as he holds the reigns.
The right time was over a year ago when ISIS was marching across the desert in a column. That was the time to disintegrate them and admit our mistake and set up a coalition with Assad to disintegrate everyone involved in toppling their government. History books will see the European-destroying chaos as a direct result of US regime change policies.
If it doesn't happen now, how long will it be before ISIS has serious weapons and drones and fighter planes?
Still excerpting for hits?

Yeah we need to do something about that largest muslim nation thingy.
The pre Feminism American male watched John Wayne movies, drank whiskey, smoked unfiltered Camels and whipped the Nazis and Imperial Japan in five years: The post Feminism American Male watches the Kardashians, drinks Latte's and smokes dope -- What do you think is going to happen with Isis?
“The US has failed miserably in its attempt to defeat ISIS.”
No, the USA has failed miserably by refusing to impeach and remove the MCIC (man child in chief) who is bent on allowing isis to grow in size and power.
The Jordanians have been helping the U.S. and Saudis train and arm radicals probably in return for not having an arab Spring in Amman
The world has been waiting for a Putin
Yemen has asked the Russians for help, the Afghans and Iraqis will also, imo.... Russia is even being mentioned as a potential peacemaker in the Palestinian issue
The tide is turning
Much depends on how well the Russians do in Syria
Given the leverage Russia is building with the Iranians, and the admiration he is gaining from the Arabs for his Syrian campaign being strong pragmatic and decisive against extremism, I can see a future where Saudis out of pragmatism also approach Putin for assistance with its internal stability rather than the US , which has now hopelessly bungled and squandered our image throughout the region from the Levant and the Maghreb to Afghanistan
Frankly Russia as an Asian power is a lot closer to the middle east and SWA than are we
Once this Chinese- Russian mega alliance “ New Silk Road” project continues to unfold, all the peripheral countries of the Middle East are going to want to connect with it
- just my prediction
It seems to me that since WWII we have fought to tie, rather than fight to win.
"Saudi" Arabia should have been conquered and reorganized (along with Pakistan) right after 9/11.
Now, we are incomparably weaker, and the fate of the al-Saud family is in the hands of others.
Your idea that we would spend blood putting this evil bunch of gangsters back on the throne after nature takes its course is...interesting.
The Middle East will be a very different place in a few years. Obama’s legasy will be one of blood and bodies. saudi Arabia will fall—its an outdated monarcy that has sewn the seeds of its own destruction with hits radical mosques. The world is moving right—toward Nationalism, The EU will fold in a decade and the UN after it. So too will NATO. Just as the losers Germany and Japan rebuilt and became winners, Russia, the loser in the cold war, will rebuild and may well dominate Europe. The USA will move right as well—Trump’s successes point to that. Internationalism has failed—people will go back to good old Nationalism and patriotism.
DAILY MAIL: “Al-Qaeda’s leader in Syria has been killed, according to local reports.”
Hmmm...Daily Mail calls them Al-Qaeda, must be a typo.
It was gangsters that Lawrence of Arabia helped to put into place and anyone you help....will be a gangster in the end.
I’d rather we pack up and draw a 1,000 mile around Kuwait....refusing to help anyone and just worry about Latin America and our backyard.
The US has been piously complaining the Russians are not attacking “ISIS”
But the Russians have been doing a job on the leadership of other headchopper extremist groups like Al Qaeda (aka our allies the moderate rebels)
yep.
Tar and feather the POS for impeachment.
