WKRP In Cincinatti is one of my all-time faves. The only new comedy I like is The Big Bang Theory - great character humor.
“As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly”
For ANYONE who worked in Radio, WKRP is one of the top sitcoms. It was so true!
WKRP definitely an honorable mention anyway
I LOVED me some Bailey Quarters!!!

Agreed. It's the first one that comes to mind. What I found, watching every episode on DVD, is that most of the real classic comedy (TURKEYS DON'T FLY etc) was in the first two years.
I still remember the episode with Johnny Fever scared that the “phone cops” were after him, and the drinking study where he got faster reaction times the more he drank.
Newhart on Big Bang Theory is great, too.
Better than Wil Wheaton on BBT, anyway.
The only problem with WKRP reruns or DVDs is the original music was cut. They didn’t buy the rights for long term, back in the beginning. The music they’re trying to substitute just doesn’t work. Especially with Johnny.
Frozen turkeys can’t fly...
