Theres no guarantee Trudeau will make it into power this election, but God help Canada if he does
The freshly re-sloganed Do the right thing Google has a message for Canadians on Election Day in a cutsie graphic with an arrow telling them to votez ici. Most Canadian voters speak English, a statistic ignored by the politically correct Google who put votez ici first and the English words vote second.
If youre as powerful and as omni present as Google you can do anything you want under the self acclaimed status of always doing the right thing.
Googles message reminds me of the Vote for Change message I heard from the climate change-crazed pastor at the Catholic church where I attended yesterdays Sunday morning Mass.
I thought that even though he was a Quebecois himself, Trudeau wasn’t as popular with them as he was with English-speaking Canadians.
I am going to vote shortly, but I fear Canada (because of the stupidity of many younger voters) will send Trudeau riding onto the world stage on his unicorn, sprinkling feel-good fairy dust on all of the problems. Terrorists, beware.
At least Obama will no longer be the laughing stock of the rest of the world.
Just did. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember the candidate’s name, nor have I had anyone knocking at my door during the whole election, but I sure know the party I voted for! The least of three evils, though C-51 is wrong.
There’s a lot of people in Canada who want more free government handouts.
A lot. And unfortunately, they can vote.
According to my roommates, someone from the Liberal Party has called our house and asked for me by name three times. Even though I was home all three times, apparently the caller wasn't bothered to stay on the line long enough for someone to tell me I had a phone call.
Too bad, too—by the third time around, I was good and ready to engage the bonehead in some spirited political dialogue.
I could have a little respect, a smidgen that is, for Bébé Turd-owe if he had a LITTLE of papa’s intelligence. Instead, he has his mother’s intelligence and his father’s arrogance. I wouldn’t be surprised to find that back a few generations, he has a common ancestor with O’Venal.
God help us it either Turd-owe or Komrade Mulcair for the government!
I don’t get the appeal. He is shallow, arrogant, and as smart as a my 5 year old boy, maybe. He does have nice hair and daddy’s name.
The NDP blew it with their “Stop Harper” campaign. They allowed the Liberals to come up the middle and steal their voters.
Agree totally. Thanks Harper for giving the Liberals the tools of C51 to destroy us.
I think the Trudeau campaign benefited from the “Stop Harper” meme. There has been such unjustified nastiness toward Harper - it became the mantra, much like “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”. False, but caught on.
There’s only one way to vote, as far as I’m concerned. I couldn’t get this across to my son, however. He’s become pretty left-wing....really hated C51.
Tried explaining that there’s nothing that would make me switch my principles to liberal or ndp.
In 36 eligible years of voting, I have never voted for a Lieberal, nor a NDipper, nor a Green, nor any shade of commie or socialist. Per the saying apparently misattributed to Sir Winston Churchill: at 25, I guess I must not have had a heart! That said, some FReepers have accused me of being a socialist!
