People are making fun of Ben Carson’s wife

There is a meme circulating that appears to be making fun of Dr Ben Carson’s wife, Lacena. The meme shows the image of the Carsons next to a picture of the Obamas, highlighting the difference in beauty between Mrs. Carson and Mrs. Obama. There is also a noticable difference in the ladies’ style of dress and fashion sense. While Mrs. Obama will go down in history as one of the gorgeous first ladies of all-time, Mrs. Carson probably will not.

Some think the image is funny and realistic, but others have taken offense. Demetria Luca, writing for TheRoot.com, says this:

I’m no fan of presidential candidate Ben Carson. I don’t like his politics. He receives his fair share of ire from potential voters, but he asked to be dissected in the media, traditional and social, when he announced his bid for the presidency. Candy Carson did not. There are plenty of exceptionally valid reasons to rage about Ben Carson without adding his wife to the mix.

However, when I got to this line it occurred to me that somewhere prior to the statement that all credible information had been put forth.

I feel real comfortable about the homey way Mrs Carson looks, however she dresses. She’s a real Mom and wife, isn’t she? Reminds me of Bess and Mamie, great Presidential wives.

Michelle Obama is certainly not someone I consider attractive. If Barack Hussein Obama loved America and loved the Constitution, I wouldn't care what she looked like.

I don't understand what Michelle 0bama's looks have to do with anything, and especially why her looks would be an issue depending on whether her husband is a good President or not.

Personally, I believe that constantly degrading someone based on their "looks", especially a First Lady, is rather mean-spirited.

Mrs. Carson probably loves her country, too. That matters a whole lot more than how she dresses. The kids who eat school lunches would probably rather have anybody running the show than the commie Mooch.

She does look like a man; I guess the same people that told us that women were swooning over Obama seven years ago are going to tell us that men are swooning over his wife.

I have never heard anyone (including blacks) indicate that Michelle Obama was even pretty (never mind “gorgeous”); she is a beast.
