Again.
On Tuesday morning, this landed in inboxes across America:

Here's what I got: I'm sure you've heard...the crowded field of presidential candidates is beginning to thin out, and what you may not know -- money was a big factor. That's why I'm emailing you today. Right now, we are still more than $400,000 short of our End of Quarter Goal. Since TWO of my fellow conservative candidates have been forced to drop out due to lack of funds, it is more urgent now than ever that I have your support before the hard cutoff of my fundraising deadline on Sept. 30th." My last email from "Ted" was titled THANK YOU. (For my small donation)

If he drops out do you get your money back?
To: BlueNgold
His email didn’t really say he was dropping out. He did point out that Scott Walker dropped out for financial reasons. Asked his supporters to do what they could

“...or he’ll fold the tent.”
LOL. They all set goals of what they want to get. I was at a fundraiser the other night for a Christian group. “Okay - last year our goal was $200,000 dollars. Tonight it is $300,000!!! (They ended up with $368,000).
I am guessing that donations will exceed their target amount. Cruz already has a pretty substantial war chest. He is in it for the long haul.

If Cruz drops out (which he may at some point in time), I imagine the money will go the same place my money to Palin went. On to fight for other conservatives.

Read the article. It's just criticizing Cruz's fundraising email which had the subject line "Cruz dropping out."
Cruz does indeed have a deadline today or tomorrow for his fundraising for this quarter and isn't meeting goals.

It didn't say Cruz dropping out. It was titled Dropping Out. Then went on to say two of his conservative colleagues had to drop out of the race, but donate to me and .... (see my post 21)

I made a small donation to Cruz's campaign when he announced. Nobody called me or cajoled me. Now, it's not that way. Last call I got from the campaign, I asked the phone person if she was a volunteer or paid staff. He's using paid staff. So I figure the campaign has spent more on me than I originally donated, considering all the calls and letters.
Yeah, I know everyone does it. I was hoping for a different kind of campaign from Cruz. You know what? Somebody came along and gave me a different kind of campaign.

‘DROPPING OUT’ refers to the other candidates dropping out recently like Perry and Walker.
Its a fundraising email......Ted is in full steam ahead and he’s speaking loudly on the Senate floor this week.

As a recipient of Ted’s emails, that subject line has been in emails before yesterday.
This is not NEW news, but an attempt for a web site to get some clicks. :)

Unlike last time, these presidential candidates will not get a single dime of my money. No matter who is elected, we will have a collapse. Events are already in motion. Why give away resources your family will need just to survive?

Thanx. I’m too poor to donate.
To: Helicondelta
Sorry, Ted, but you are badly in need of a good tailor, my friend. I mean who dresses you? The collar is not cut, your sleeves are so long you’d fit perfectly in a Marx Brox comedy skit. Look’s like you’re wearing a jacket that’s two sizes too long.
There is subliminal thing about running for office. My contention is, all things considered, Americans want their president to at least look sharp with a great smile next to other country leaders.

Here's the first part of the text of the email: "Timothy, . I'm sure you've heard...the crowded field of presidential candidates is beginning to thin out, and what you may not know -- money was a big factor. . That's why I'm emailing you today. . Right now, we are still more than $400,000 short of our End of Quarter Goal. . Since TWO of my fellow conservative candidates have been forced to drop out due to lack of funds, it is more urgent now than ever that I have your support before the hard cutoff of my fundraising deadline on Sept. 30th. . I've asked my staff to put a clock below to show the amount of time left before my Federal Election Commission (FEC) fundraising deadline." . It's very clear this is a reference to Perry and Walker dropping out. .

I like Ted Cruz a lot. But he and most of the other have all hired the same marketing consultants. Ever since donating to him, my wife and I have been barraged with emails and phone calls. This latest is just another manipulation. It makes me want to not support any candidate who interfaces with supporters like this.

This is the Sun Times getting everyone worked up over nothing.
Along with Ted Cruz emails , I get Hillary and Jeanne Shaheen emails. The all want money, they all say its gotta be by a certain time, they all give dire warnings.
But I’ve noticed the media has been lying a lot about Ted, sensationalizing and expanding on common practices.

I get Ted’s emails. Its the Sun Times enducing panic. And the Sun Times depends on people reading that headline and believing Ted is dropping out.
