Anyone who is viewing the battle between Donald Trump and Fox News as a representative battle of thin-skinned ego is entirely missing the point.
Trump is not just taking on the construct of progressive ideology that has undermined the essence of American exceptionalism; Trump is not just exposing the immense number of faux-conservatives in media and political punditry; Trump is not just allowing us to see the scope of anti-American interest; no, he’s taking on the very selfish foundation they’ve used to sell out our country. Heck, he’s taking on all the “Decepticons” simultaneously.

I really agree with the post which recommended Trump to buy into Fox News.
That is a great idea.
Turn that sloppy mess around. Now.
That would be great! I do believe he takes heart to see that his poll numbers stay up no matter what the establishment does to him. That tells him the American people are very wise to what is happening.
That’s three...
EXCELLENT analysis, I knew that Fox had turned when I stopped watching them years ago, coverage just changed, and for the worst!
You name the fourth.
Trump needs our prayers.
He definitely has mine.
Yep. It takes some big ones—which weren’t so much as touched by Carly in that debate—to stand up to the media-uniparty.
The word “conservative” has been bandied about until it has lost its true meaning; like the term “born again” when Carter was BSing his way into the WH.
For instance, NewsMax is flogging it in what I perceive as an attempt to injure Trump. They flack one of their TV shows with the line, “Is Donald Trump a true conservative? Will Ben Carson be able to take Trump down?”
1. No Carson won’t.
2. I am not supporting Trump because I think he has a pure Conservative pedigree. I support him because he has a pair, and a titanium backbone, and he’s attacking the Corrupt Bastards Club, which includes not only congress and senate; but most of the media, and by appearances, even NewsMax, now.
3. Poor Dr. Carson, bless his heart; doesn’t realize that the reason he’s being puffed by the media is that he’s a convenient tool in their joint effort with the GOPe to eliminate Trump.
4. There are NO purebred Conservatives in the current crop of R candidates. Even Cruz has proven himself unpure by several outrageous votes in the Senate.
5. This is our last chance to save our Nation and our way of life. In baseball, Randy Johnson was dubbed “The Big Unit” by his team mates. I think that’s a fitting term for Trump at this time. IMHO, when you shake it all out, and pack it all down, Trump is all we’ve got.....under God. Every man Jack of the rest are damaged goods, either politically or just by not really having the chops for the battle. Even Trump isn’t flawless. But right out of the box, he’s crusading for 5 or 6 of the most pressing and severe issues facing our Nation. But neither are ANY of the rest of us perfect. NO. We MUST go with The Big Unit. Because, if HE fails, we and our Nation are truly screwed.
God bless, empower and protect Donald John Trump.
Amen.
A President Trump, or the next President, whomever it might be, will probably not face Boehner or McConnell in any leadership roles.
A few outstanding conservatives will be re-elected and a few, McConnell and Corker for instance, gopes will be re-elected from particularly corrupt districts but the rest will be mostly flushed out. Who any longer is going to believe what a Republican says in his election campaign?
The wealthiest candidate who does not have to rely on outside funding for his campaign is not even having to use much of his own assets because the MSMers are doing it all for him. The more they attack him the brighter is his star. Everyone knows MSM is the Enemy of Trump. Too many think Fox and Will and Krauthammer et al share a conservative outlook and are pointing out Trump's conservative deficiencies. Trump is changing that perception.
I pray for Trump to survive the campaign. If he looks to be a serious threat to Bush and GOPe I believe his life or health will be in serious jeopardy. He is not a critical threat yet. So long as there are enough conservatives to keep him from getting primary majorities in 8 states, Bush has clear sailing no matter what his poll numbers show. Trump will be a perceived mortal threat if it becomes apparent that he will keep Bush from 8 majorities in those leftie states that normally vote GOPe in the primaries and Democrat in the elections. Trump will have to have truly overwhelming support in the primaries because the RNC and DNC will send Democrats into the Republican primaries, the open ones obviously, and even the closed ones. Changing one's Party membership and then changing it back is a simple operation.
Trump is applying the Alinsky method on how to take down an enemy better than the progressives do it!
I suppose a Trumpian Empire would be superior to a Moslem/Communist civil war in a nation purged of its Conservatives and Constitution altogether.
“I support what Trump says he wants for this country, but I am now convinced that Donald will not be the man leading this charge”
Then who? Bush? Rubio? Fiorina? Carson? All pro-amnesty, by the way.
So you want someone who is taking on exactly who Trump is taking on, with Trump’s positions - without it being Trump.
Pretty undoable.
It amazes me that posters on this site, a conservative site, fall for the “thin-skin, whiny” line that is being promoted by the very ones engaged in smearing Trump. Their smears carry the caveat that if Trump fights their smears he is being childish and Junior High. He is supposed to be noble minded and smile while he is being destroyed. It makes me think they are being deceptive or either dumb. The liberal news media is out to destroy candidates, with Trump being directly in their cross hairs. Even Karl “Turd Blossom” Rove wrote that it was a mistake for Bush not to fight back at all the smears thrown at him. All of us out here who were not being payed big bucks to advise the president intuitively knew that the “new tone” was stupidity.
In the next election we are choosing a Dictator, whomever we elect. Congress has ceded its power to the the Executive and the Court has ratified that. The only way back that I can see is a Trump election followed by fiat abolition of the great mass/mess of Bureaucracy in the EPA and other Agencies and pushing the States to do an Article 5 Convention. A powerful President cannot return power to the Congress as Congress will use it to erect its own Dictatorship with a McConnell or one like him as the nominal or actual Dictator. Power must be taken back by the States.
Of course a President Trump might not do these things at all. There is no assurance of direction when one is choosing a dictator.
The critical excerpts...
If victorious, Trump will carry the biggest and boldest mandate EVER.
Candidate Donald Trump has now taken enough positions for us to clearly identify that he is indeed our friend, and as a consequence their enemy. Just look at what he has exposed in the two months since he announced. Hes done this simply by putting sunlight on issues and taking firm stances that all others in/around the same issues have apparently lied about for years.
Donald Trump, a serious student of the entire decades long game, is waging a 360° war against the entire GOPe apparatus, on every single level of its construct. And yes, that also means the monolithic media empire which facilitates all of the aforementioned usurpations.
Donald Trump is campaigning against EVERY ADVERSE INTEREST to the U.S.A. This is the essential underpinning of the Make America Great Again campaign.
Those adverse interests are both outside and inside our borders. Hes intent on tearing down the machine, all of it. By now that should be obvious to everyone.
