Hey - the EPA sez that E15 is OK to dump in your car's engine.

Of course, the EPA sez that it's OK for them to dump 3 million gallons of toxic sludge into the Animas River...

It's ALL GOOD!!!

You may already be using 15%+ blend. A friend of mine runs the local Chrysler dealership and bought a kit to test alcohol content of fuel after customers had drivability problems with fuel from some local stations. He’s seen as high as 17% blend.

I had a blower that lasted exactly two uses. It was a refurb with no real warranty so I was out of luck. I bought a new one and only use pre-mixed ethanol free fuel at $8 for a half gallon. But I don’t have to worry about it.

I do use ethanol fuel for my outboard but I run it dry every time.

Ethanol free is not available in my nanny state.

Race, I know this isn’t your headline. That said, I would like to point out a mistake many, especially NASCAR types, make.

It’s an engine, not a motor. Look in the dictionary if you must.

A motor runs on external power, i.e., electricity, hydraulics, etc.

Love ya, Race, but Utilizer is absolutely right. This isn’t a clickbait site. Put some context into your excerpt, if you must excerpt. Then you’re being informative instead of being a clickbaiter.

***...about a two MPG decrease if I use fuel with ethanol.***

A friend of mine bought a car as he drives 25 miles to work and 25 miles home.

He found with REAL GAS he could fill up and drive all week on one tank of gas.

When he used ethanol gas he could only drive four days before needing a fill up.

Got nothing else to do, and it isn't your choice whether I stop by or not. You post, folks comment. I commented. Might even comment again.

I used to have a GM car (1962) in which the carburetor would freeze up when the air was humid and the temperature just above freezing. The venturi would drop the air temp below freezing and the car would die on the highway. I'd have to coast to the berm, wait until it thawed out, then go to the nearest gas station and buy some fuel line antifreeze. Worked just as well for the carburetor.

Thanks. If only I had put that in my ‘59 Chevy truck the ethanol wouldn’t have completely dissolved the float on my fuel gauge. Barely a speck of it left.

Turns out Jeep made a plastic float in the ‘60s that fits the arm of the gauge perfectly though.

See post #38. Ethanol is hell on vintage cars and trucks.

E-15 is 15% ethanol gas. Which you could have found out in the search engine of your choice in less time than it took to complain about the title.
