Rocker Ted Nugent says he supports an American dentist who killed a protected lion in Zimbabwe.
In an interview with the Rita Cosby Show on WABC radio in New York, Nugent railed against people who are upset about the killing, saying the outrage is because the lion was given a name, Cecil. He said getting upset about Cecil but not other lions "is disingenuous and tragically dishonest."

Ted Nugent and the dentist ought to be locked in a cage , nude , with a horny gorilla high on LSD .
Eagles eat carrion, they are not predators, hawks however, are. Eagles are just pretty buzzards.
D’oh.... i meant hawks... eagles just popped into my head. I should have used the more general. “Birds of prey” but then people think i was talking about the romulans.....
Gorillas are usually more docile than chimps.... freeking chimps will eat your face off.... literally....
Just ask travis the now dead chimp.
Eagles will eat carrion and scavenge when it is available, but they are also very skilled predators. FWIW, all predators if given the opportunity will scavenge or eat carrion. Yes, even lions and tigers and bears, oh my. :),

The Bald Eagle is a diverse feeder, being part predator, part scavenger & part carrion-eater. Their preferred prey is fish, which is taken both alive & dead, but they will also take birds (mainly waterfowl & seabirds), mammals, reptiles & invertebrates. They will also feed on carrion & Bald Eagles are regularly seen scavenging for food items in human waste areas.
“...then people think i was talking about the romulans.....”
That’s funny.
Having grown up in Central Africa, it is most curious to me to see all the hand ringing about “endangered species.”
Like the “we are running out of space” idiots in the 1980s (who, apparently never look out the window when flying over fly over country), most people whining about endangered species have no earthly idea, other than quoting leftist “animal rights” groups.
Having seen the migrations of animals from the air, I can assure you, the animals in Africa (lions included) are not “endangered.” If someone wants to pay to shoot a rino or a lion, take their money. A rino or a lion hunt indeed takes courage. More than New York journalists have.
Yes people pay big bucks to cull the herds. That money helps keep the African conservation programs going.
At age 13 Cecil only had another year or so left anyway before some younger male killed or drove him out. The older male lions die bad deaths from fighting wounds and the hyenas get them etc. Not pretty.
While I have no qualms about hunting, I just can’t compare Teddy’s expeditions, in which it truly was an hazardous adventure, taking many months to crossing the oceans to get to the deepest, wilds of Africa, often on foot in what we would call primitive conditions.
To a jet setting dentist, that hops on an air conditioned comfort in a Learjet to “trekking” across the veld in modern vehicles on asphalt roads to literally shoot an animal from the back seat of Mercedes, have a cocktail and split for home.
Hardly the stuff of legendary tales to brag about around a “campfire”
May I be the first to say on behalf of all the zebras he killed, “F Cecil!”
They could name another lion Cecil.
F him too.
Oh, this is gonna be fun.....
[ We also shouldnt kill some animals that exhibit human like traits in intelligence like great apes, elephants, whales, etc...
So by your logic, critters like boars(swine) shouldn’t be killed because they are smart? ]
You missed the point so much that I wouldn’t want to hunt with you because you would probably shoot yourself or me in the foot while aiming at your prey. Pigs are smart but they are no no where near as smart as elephants and great apes, when was the last time you saw a pig using a tool, or using sign language or not rolling over onto their little piglets smothering them??? Also I did mention that killing vermin animals was okay or if they endangered humans and livestock, well Einstein, wild boars are a nuisance animal. Gorillas and Elephants in their natural habitat aren’t usually a nuisance animal to humans unless a very few of them decide to be. Then I am quite okay with shooting koko the gorilla being taken out if she is strangling kittens to death or dumbo the elephant if he is flatting villages being taken out.
The list of animals that we shouldn’t kill because of their intelligence is higher than your average bear is a very short one, and we should strive not go out of our way to kill them for just for sport or food if there are easier alternatives.
[ So no pork but it’s o.k. to shoot horses because they as every farm raised girl knows, are some of the dumbest animals on a farm. ]
Horses are dumb as hell, but they are also animals that we domesticated for working purposes, it kinda takes the sport out of it to hunt DOMESTIC HORSES. You gonna bring some apples and carrots to lure them over where you can shoot them, wow, that took all the hunting prowess of an infant playing peekaboo. I must note that I am okay with hunting WILD Mustangs for sport and for meat and to control their numbers.
Of course if you wanna take your gun to the Kentucky derby and start shooting, hey, have a blast, but even though you may make that race more interesting, I am pretty sure the jockeys won’t appreciate it very damned much. Also, I will not cover your bail as they drag you away.
[ (You did say you were raised on a farm, right?) ]
Born and raised, I even did some hunting myself to control the pest animals like prairie dogs (they make holes that cows can injure themselves in) and raccoons who cause property damage. I didn’t get a thrill shooting these animals with my brother’s high powered rifle with a scope, it was just another farm shore to do. I even hunted a few little bunny wabbits with the farm .22 when their numbers were so high they were practically hundreds of them per acre, and then I took back their dead bodies to feed to the barn cats.
and speaking of cats....
[ Or rather we shouldn’t shoot and eat the “cute “ animals and the ones we humans give names? ]
You do know that God gave us dominion over animals, but that doesn’t mean every animal has a target on it’s back. We shouldn’t hunt tame kitty cats or puppy dogs for sport. We can hunt down WILD dogs and WILD cats that are being a nuisance or in some cases when TAME animals are out of control. Case in point: On the Farm when we raised sheep we did have to put down a neighbor’s dog that was coming over to our property and killing lambs.
Unless you think we should kill tame domestic pets for “sport”.... in that case please tell me address so I can bring a can of whiskas or alpo and my .22 and stand outside your property line going “here kitty kitty” or “here boy, here boy” and then shooting them the second they cross over your property line.... Wow, what a challenge for sport that would be, it would be as challenging as solving a rubiks cube from thepeoplescube.com . (I am being sarcastic you know, or maybe you don’t)
Thanks for the info on Bald Eagles, they are awesome creature to watch them hunt and good to look at to boot and they pose for a pretty mean postage stamp as well! :)
but but ..

LOL!
Who's the troll here? Obviously you are. One insulting post to GraceG, she responds, and poof, you're gone (over 10 hours now)? If you're not a troll, you certainly act like one. I dismiss your comment.
LMAO
