As was obvious in the first week of the Trump campaign, the way that Trump immediately eclipsed Jeb Bush, demonstrated the irrelevance of Jeb Bush's vaunted candidacy. That is not likely to change.
Jeb Bush's appeal was basically limited to name recognition, and avoiding offending either the media or the RNC types in Washington. Given that type of "appeal," how do you resurrect his credibility, after he was totally eclipsed in a matter of mere hours by one who understands how to focus attention on real issues?
I really do not believe that it can be done. This does not guarantee Trump's or any other particular candidate's success, to be sure. But Jeb has no where to go but down.
Plus, Bush does not look like he wants it. He looks like a bored blue blood who needs something to do when not sipping martinis at the polo club.
Jeb's chances of becoming president were never good. In my opinion, his whole effort to become the Republican nominee was a monumental waste of time and money.
The country isn't going to elect another Bush in our lifetimes, and Jeb (of all people) should know that.
“Jeb has no where to go but down.”
That’s what I’ve been saying. He already has 100% name recognition, and his positions aren’t likely to steal votes from Cruz/Carson/Paul/Fiorina/Trump/Santorum/Jindal/Huckabee/Walker.
I’m hoping Jeb is already dead man walking.
