A year and a half ago, I wrote about the illegal "No Weapons" signs at rest stops in Alabama. The Alabama Department of Transportation doubled down and declared the signs legal ... because. Yesterday afternoon, Friday, the 24th of July, 2015, Governor Bentley stepped up to the plate and ordered the signs taken down. From yellowhammernews.com reporting the Governor's tweet:
Good for the Governor. He knows how to count. He is also keeping his campaign promises from 2010:
- I will defend Alabamas sovereignty from federal encroachment, consistent with the Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution.
-
I will protect each Alabamians right to legally purchase, own, carry and use firearms. -
I will ensure the state government does not hinder city and county government operations. -
The Second Amendment clearly grants every American the right to own firearms. As Governor I will protect each Alabamians right to legally purchase, own, carry, and use firearms.
If he keeps up this sort of action, Democrats might come back into style in Alabama.

One quibble with teh GOvernor’s statement: The Second Amendment does not GRANT the right to firearm possession, it merely AFFIRMS it.
Good to see that the dimrat got one right, though.

Alabama's rest stops are about to become the safest places in America! It's been confirmed time and time again that guns guarantee liberty and assure good, Godly behavior.
An armed society is a polite society!

“A Democrat Governor who can count... “
Except that Bentley is WHITE, and there are no more white Democrats elected to high office in the South anymore. Just locals, like Shelia.
The author got it wrong...Bentley is a Republican.

A Democrat Governor who can count...The Alabama governor is NOT a DemonKKKrat but is a veteran and a member of Reagan's party. He's a pro-God, pro-military Republican and, by this action, shows that he reveres the Constitution. See this April Fool's article about the party "switch".

How is it after all these years you still have not progressed beyond a free Blogspot blog?
Could it be that copying other people’s stuff is a poor business model?

Could it be you have to pick at him about something because you’re miffed that you can’t complain about him excerpting?

It could be because blogger “research” involves only a search engine and re-writing other people’s material.
But don’t you worry about that, keep on butt-kissing some thieves.

I don’t know if anyone else does this, but when I could get out, (hopefully again soon) anytime I see a “no gun zone” sign at a business I immediately go to the manager, and inform them that as long as the sign remains, my family will never step foot in their business again. I add that everywhere I can I will tell others to do the same. My right to defend my self is guaranteed by the 2nd amendment, and I will not send family and friends to an advertised slaughter house.
I get the “it’s corporate” crap as response sometimes, but I tell them when their corporate officers have their bodyguards disarmed then I’ll consider them sincere about my safety.
If all gun owner started doing this can you imagine the pressure we could apply to these companies?

His purpose is not to progress beyone a Blogspot blog, it is to educate people. If that means posting someone else's article, or writing one himself, it doesn't matter. When you have put as much effort into educating people as he has over the years by posting blogs, writing articles or speaking to crowds of people, then you can complain.
If you don't like his posts don't read them.
