None of that is true!. . .I used to meet with him (McCain) in my office at the end of the day and debate with him. . .we debated quite fiercely but there was never any personal prejudice between us; the debate was between two men in a manly style. But after that we were quite friendly. We didnt take it personally, said Tran Trong Duyet, McCains jailer, in 2008 when Duyet was aged 75.
But after his release from the Hanoi Hilton (Hoa Lo Prison), John Sidney McCain, Navy pilot and son of Adm. John McCain, Jr., commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific theatre which included Viet Nam told a much different story. McCain said this about his experiences as a prisoner: They bounced me from pillar to post, kicking and laughing and scratching I was beaten every 2-3 hours by different guards.
His North Vietnamese captor calls this story pure fabrication. Political puffery is the reason given by the military prison director for McCains side of the story of his captivity. The race for the White House causes politicians to enhance military exploits, suggested Tran.
In a 1969 front page news story with a Saigon (UPI) dateline, the military publication STARS & STRIPES wrote: The son of the U.S. Commander in the Pacific said despite bombing civilian targets in North Vietnam, he (McCain) has received VERY GOOD MEDICAL TREATMENT since being shot down according to Radio Hanoi.
This news story confirms the testimony in the pdf file of Eugene Cannon. Here is one (account) of captured U.S. pilot in North Vietnam. . .LCMDR John Sidney McCain...

I’d like to see the classified files on McCain declassified. I’d bet the world it says things 180 degrees differently than McCain’s fable.
Meet the new Songbird, same as the old Songbird...
McCain appears, more every day, to be suffering from dementia or terminal stupidity.
I’ve often wondered if he is being blackmailed by Viet Nam or Russia from his days as a POW, based on his voting record.
I second that!
Both have their agendas. There are some things we will just never know the truth about.
Whats with these Johns, they enhance their battle experience so as to enhance their political chances when they get out of battle. They must start thinking far into the future about their resumes when they are young.
“... according to Radio Hanoi.” ... I don’t need to read any further.
Are you referring to John Kerry, the war hero who was in Viet Nam (for 4 1/2 months) and received 3 purple hearts and the silver star? </sarc>
Just what is McCain hiding?????????????????
I have spoken with a number of senior pilots from all services about McCain, a number of whom served with him. To a man, they detest him. They don’t generally go into details, but most of it stems from what a pampered ass he was till his dad said, “Shut up and color”.
“Are you referring to John Kerry, the war hero who was in Viet Nam (for 4 1/2 months) and received 3 purple hearts and the silver star? </sarc>”
Why yes, yes I am. lol
His real character and reputation.
And another source is a statement McCain made while still a prisoner?
Why don't we just take the word of the Japanese that the Bataan Death March was just a country stroll???
Maybe this article from written 3 days ago will make you like him more: POW case haunts McCain's image as war hero </sarc>
I believe McCain has signs of senile dementia also.
