And hey dog torture is super there as well.
Does South Korea have teacher unions? Tenure?
I guess that they were wrung out and hung up to dry after reaching that rung of the profession.
Regards,
South Korea has an epidemic of kids who study past midnight.
Their kids like math!
It is a very different culture.
Well janitors do much more for humanity than politicians. Somebodies pay needs to be cut.
He can always move there, like tomorrow, permanently, and we will even throw him a helluva moving party free of charge!
So we should be able to go to any teacher we like?
To Obama, teachers are the front line shock troops of the one-world revolution. They mold and shape the young minds into such a muddled mush of socialism they can’t think straight. No wonder he thinks they should be paid as much.
Teachers are highly paid because they are highly qualified. There is no way a bottom third student, from a third-tier college, could enter the teaching profession over there.
America’s education problems have nothing to do with teacher salaries.
Teachers don’t deserve what doctors do. I’m tired of the whining about pay for teachers.
How much do they pay teachers and doctors in South Korea?
But the claim drew criticism because there isnt hard evidence available that supports the idea that pay is equal among the mentioned professions. In fact, the Korean Federation of Teachers Association (KFTA) pointed out that significant salary disparities exist particularly between doctors and teachers. The KFTA later mentioned that the assertion was most likely a misunderstanding.
....
I wish people would read the article.
Obama is lying again.
when you consider how BAD and CORRUPT our teachers are ...
Especially in the inner cities. No one worse than the California Teachers Union. A big bunch of crooks!!!
South Korean teachers are probably teaching their children about science, math, history, chemistry, and physics. Unlike US teachers who are discussing why little Johnny has two daddies and teaching elementary children how to put on a condom.
“Total expenditures for public elementary and secondary schools in the United States amounted to $621 billion in 201112, or $12,401 per public school student enrolled in the fall (in constant 201314 dollars, based on the Consumer Price Index).
This is from the Institute for Educational Sciences. Assuming 28 kids in class, that’s $347,200.00 Teachers make $80K? Where does all the money go?
They must not pay their doctors very much.
Perhaps it should be the highest rung of the professions, instead of the highest wrung of the professions.
(A wet cleaning cloth is wrung dry, while the top step on a ladder is the highest rung.)
They have education insurance co-pays and the educators file insurance claims for their pay? /s
