Does anyone recognize this? It's a weighted clamp, used by a vendor at the farmers market to hold down his tent from blowing away. He said he got it from a photographers' supply -- that it's something photographers use to keep their equipment steady in outdoor shooting conditions. I'm trying to buy something like this, but I can't look for it until I know what it's called. Thanks....
You put them on all four posts. Around here we put sand bags on them. 30 pounds or so.
Yes. Four missiles. We get serious winds here, a lot. Anything not anchored firmly will wind up in Texas, or Oklahoma.
The tents actually have a vent on the top so they won’t blow away. Again, 30 pound sand bags on each leg will do the trick.
We get winds here in New England too. They are called hurricanes.
Home Depot sells a set of four 5-pound weights for canopies. Around $35.
