Boeing just announced plans to make their bathrooms smaller so they can fit more seats on the plane! So if you're claustrophobic, you might want to hold it. Boeing is shrinking the toilet area on the 777-300ER models to make them more marketable to airlines who will want extra seats on the plane, but passengers, would probably rather the extra leg room.
Boeing says they'll be able to cram 14 extra seats on the triple seven with the tiny toilet model. It's all part of a plan to make the planes lighter. Another way Boeing will lighten the plane by 12-hundred pounds is to restructure the overhead storage bin area.
The new design with mini toilets will be shown at the Paris Air Show later this month, and the upgrades should be ready next year in time for the first deliveries of the new triple sevens.

I don’t know that I’ve ever flown Boeing, and now I’m sure that I won’t.
Hey, if it’s good enough for the astronauts...
I believe Ryan Air in Europe was experimenting with charging to use the restrooms. They're also charging for carry ons now.
There's also talk that this is the next step for things:
or could the real purpose of this be to deter people from attempting to join the Mile High Club?
Back in the 70s, Russian passenger planes were nothing but converted WWII cargo planes with seats. Not a single bolt or screw or rivet had been tightened since the war.
If they were any smaller, you wouldn’t have room to do your business.
This can all be blamed on Emirates Airlines and their design input due to the 150 777 they have on order. Helps bring more Jihadi’s to the USA
Danggit! Now I’ll never get into the ‘Mile High Club!’
*SNORT*
The runways hadn't been maintained since the war, either. Trees and bushes would be growing out of the pot holes and cracks. Whenever a plane crashed and burned, they'd just shove it off the edge of the runway which gave a nice warm fuzzy feeling... NOT!
Why am I not surprised...
Speak for yourself.
Last time I flew on a 707 I was 14 Years Old, 47 Years ago.
My Father and my Uncle had to fly on a 707 back in 1959 from New York to California. They both got snookered at the Airport Bar because they couldn’t get over the fact that they were getting on an Airplane without Propellers.
I’m not sure if either of them had ever even flown before.
I guess I’ll have to check with my Dad, he’s only 92.
