they can be both catty infantile and true. But I’m familiar with the man’s life story, and I think his story would shame the lives of 99.9% of all Freepers - thus while he’s not Prez material, he deserves a little bit of respect.

It’s so easy and unoriginal to be knee jerk catty.

I cant argue with that. He did a lot better than me :)

Just left a bad taste when he said on fox that he didn’t’ really want to run but if the people needed him...or something like that. sounded a little too Godlike, but that’s just me.

I like Carson and what he stands for.

But I can’t stand his speaking voice — you need to be dynamic in politics. He whispers, even when giving speeches.

Calling the remarks catty is an insult to most cats.

I agree with you.

I admire Ben Carson for all his accomplishments in his lifetime. I believe him to be a man of character. Does he have a snowball’s chance in hell to win the nomination? Doubtful. He has as much right to throw his hat and the ring as any other candidate. Considering the disgust I have for the Republican Party, the more unpolitical candidates, the better. What better way to judge ideas?

I don’t have to support him politically to think he can have a positive effect on the process.

I have been paying attention, and when they feature sound bytes of him, it is him saying things like I don’t want to take the safety nets, about how patting people on the head and saying we’ll take care of you isn’t good for them - he has a message - and it is a good one. He can say things honestly that others might not be able to effectively. NO, he won’t win and probably knows that. But he has a voice and a good resonating message. One on one comparisons with black dems is reason enough....

Your assessment of what it takes to be President of the United States seems a bit off base. You actually make your entire judgment of his qualifications on the basis of this one statement regarding homosexuality. By this it is apparent that low information voters are not the sole bane of liberals.

Nothing personal against Dr. Carson. He seems like he has a clue and his heart appears to be in the right place. But the Presidency is not a good entry level position. The man needs some experience, and an established track record in public office that I can look at and say his actions match his rhetoric.

I think recent history has demonstrated the risks involved in electing inexperienced people. In short he needs more on a resume than being a pundit if he wants my vote.

Ben Carson is a nice man, and intelligent man, and a spiritual man.

Ben Carson is not going to win.

He is going to drain votes from conservatives to make a Jeb Bush surge more likely.

“...the catty infantile little snaps by some freepers are totally uncalled for ...”

Spot on.

He’s a good, decent man, an American. More than can be said for anything on the democrat side.

Does he have a chance of winning? Who knows. But he adds another level of discourse and perspective to the dialogue.

Folks should let it play out, instead of helping do the democrats’ work for them.

If Mr. Carson is not presidential material, IMO, he would be an excellent Surgeon Gen.

If that jobs not open, he'd make a decent jardiniere.

I do say he is not prepared to run if he can say something so nonsensical, especially for a doctor. If it makes you feel better to cail me low information, so be it. Have a goo one.

I totally agree. Carson is a good man, brave man to step out and try and run knowing that he will be smeared through the mud, called an Uncle Tom and other vile names the left hurls at decent and honorable black men that dare run as a Republican or Conservative.

So, his statement is “nonsensical” to the extent you have studied the subject to what depth?

An unrehearsed fumble of a comment and you expand it beyond known reality. I suppose if you walked into a Mall and someone sneezed you would run out hollering that there was a plague in there.
