The advisors added Clinton would gradually reveal her platform so as not to overwhelm potential voters.....
Hillary Clintons political strategists on Saturday revealed that the former secretary of State will seek the White House as a champion of middle-class prosperity in 2016.
The Associated Press reported that two senior advisers for Clintons campaign said she will cast herself as a tenacious fighter for average Americans next election cycle.
The pair of operatives spoke anonymously so Clinton could better inform voters herself in the coming weeks. It is heavily rumored she will announce her campaign for the Democratic nomination in a video message Sunday.
AP said Clinton will purportedly borrow from President Obamas successful 2012 campaign against her. She will present her message as one of economic populism focused on middle-class families.
She will contrast this with Republicans, whom she will argue support the wealthy and elitist.
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) are the GOPs only official White House candidates so far. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) will reportedly make his own campaign public on Monday in Miami.
Clinton plans on touring Americas early-voting states after her announcement and directly courting voters. She will initially visit Iowa, the countrys first voting caucus.
The advisors added Clinton would gradually reveal her platform so as not to overwhelm potential voters. They said she will begin with a focus on expanding early childhood education, making college more affordable and increasing economic success for families.
Clinton has long been considered the frontrunner for her partys coronation. Her strategists said her early plan is not to take that status for granted.
The former first lady will thus avoid charges her nomination is inevitable by working hard for votes. She plans on addressing colleges, day care centers, diners and even private homes to appear approachable to Americans.
Former Govs. Martin OMalley (Md.) and Jim Webb (Va.) are other possible contenders for Democratic support. Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) have also been floated, though Warren has repeatedly denied she will run.
Clinton served as President Obamas secretary of State from 2008 to 2013. A major terrorist attack during her tenure killed four Americans on Sept. 11, 2012, at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Former President Bill Clinton brought Hillary into the national eye following his election in 1993. She stood beside her husband as first lady through two terms, lasting until 2001.
Kiss my grits.
I can’t wait for Hillary to walk into a county fair and try that line...oh wait...she won’t because her strategy is to win by hiding from both voters and the media.
So, she will run as a middle-class moderate. If elected, she will turn to the left.
Taking it out of the hands of those with great wealth (like the Clintons?), and putting it back into the hands of acverage working people (like the Clintons?).
Is that how we're going to finally achieve the Clintonian dream of a world without profits? Won't that be a great thing for humanity?
How much longer do we have to listen these utterly meaningingless cliches every election?
Lol, she did absolutely nothing as a senator, and her run as SecState was a macabre joke.
What economic fighting did she do other than cut the security budget to get an ambassador killed?
The American people will be so thrilled once more that there is an “economic fighter” dancing around on their behalf.
She doesn’t have to “do anything”. The American people only require that she be “on their side.”
It won’t be hard at all to hide the truth from the American people; they are always in a state of political slumber.
even back in those days...one could tell who wore the pants...in that family
Was she an “economic fighter” when she was gaming the system straddling cattle future trades?
All that you list sounds just fine with the American people, particularly in the essential Midwest.
She’s an “economic fighter” is she says she is. That is all the American people, always uninformed as they are, require.
But they are lying. (And when they defend racial preferences nowa principle they denounced as "racist" theneven they must know it).
The first truth about leftist missionaries, about believing progressives, is that they are liars. But they are not liars in the ordinary way, which is to say by choice. They are liars by necessityoften without even realizing that they are. Because they also lie to themselves. It is the political lie that gives their cause its life.
Why, for example, if you were one of them, would you tell the truth? If you were serious about your role in humanity's vanguard, if you had the knowledge (which others did not), that you were certain would lead them to a better world, why would you tell them a truth that they could not "understand" and that would hold them back?
If others could understand your truth, you would not think of yourself as a "vanguard." You would no longer inhabit the morally charmed world of an elite, whose members alone can see the light and whose mission is to lead the unenlightened towards it. If everybody could see the promised horizon and knew the path to reach it, the future would already have happened and there would be no need for the vanguard of the saints.
That is both the ethical core and psychological heart of what it means to be a part of the left. That is where the gratification comes from. To see yourself as a social redeemer. To feel anointed. In other words: To be progressive is itself the most satisfying narcissism.
That is why it is of little concern to them that their socialist schemes have run aground, burying millions of human beings in their wake. That is why they don't care that their panaceas have caused more human suffering than all the injustices they have ever challenged. That is why they never learn from their "mistakes." That is why the continuance of Them is more important than any truth.
If you were active in the so-called "peace" movement or in the radical wing of the civil rights causes, why would you tell the truth? Why would you tell people that no, you weren't really a "peace activist," except in the sense that you were against America's war. Why would you draw attention to the fact that while you called yourselves "peace activists," you didn't oppose the Communists' war, and were gratified when America's enemies won?
What you were really against was not war at all, but American "imperialism" and American capitalism. What you truly hated was America's democracy, which you knew to be a "sham" because it was controlled by money in the end. That's why you wanted to "Bring the Troops Home," as your slogan said. Because if America's troops came home, America would lose and the Communists would win. And the progressive future would be one step closer.
But you never had the honestythen or nowto admit that. You told the lie then to maintain your influence and increase your power to do good (as only the Chosen can). And you keep on telling the lie for the same reason.
Why would you admit that, despite your tactical support for civil rights, you weren't really committed to civil rights as Americans understand rights? What you really wanted was to overthrow the very Constitution that guaranteed those rights, based as it is on private property and the individualboth of which you despise.
It is because America is a democracy and the people endorse it, that the left's anti-American, but "progressive" agendas can only be achieved by deceiving the people. This is the cross the left has to bear: The better world is only achievable by lying to the very people they propose to redeem................"
Good line there: “Utterly meaningless clichés,” the life blood of the American people.
That’s rich. Who is more wealthy and elitist than this bitch?
HRC should pretend to be “poor.” The Americna people are so gullible that they will take up a collection for her when they hear her sad story.
So, what exactly does an "economic fighter" do? Continue to wage Obama's war on the economy?
The American people have believed for nearly two centuries that only Republicans are "wealthy and elitist".
