The co-pilot of the Germanwings passenger jet which crashed into the Alps at 400-miles-per-hour on Tuesday had to stop his pilot training in 2008 because he was depressed and suffering 'burnout'.
Andreas Guenter Lubitz paused his training with German flag-carrier Lufthansa because he was under so much pressure.

Yes.
Perhaps we should have a required drug urinalysis screening for all office seekers.
Who is Tobias Heisig on his facebook page. Friend or FRIEND?
This guy had a total of 635 hours or so ...
From the link - I wouldn’t think sounding “curt” in his responses could be considered “normal” conversation..Perhaps he was always “curt?”
“”According to the Times, there were normal conversations heard on the cockpit audio recorder prior to the captain leaving. Robin said the co-pilots responses sounded curt during a discussion about the planned landing of the plane in Dusseldorf.””
That of course would be discrimination. If a homicidal maniac wants to be an airline pilot, then it's only proper that we encourage him to succeed.
he wiped photos from his facebook page two days before which may indicate intent. BUT there is also the sound of something striking the plane before the final crash. Perhaps a flying object struck the fornt of the plane causing decompression in the cockpit? if so, wouldn’t that also affect the passenger section or are they seperate? They do hear passengers screaming so they were unfortunately aware of everything.
perhaps he was struggling with his gayness - as shown by his ‘curtness’. And had a momentary flaming gay reaction to authority.
“He was a quiet man.”
True the First Officer could have communicated through the door to the Captain about a problem with the door lock IF that was the case BUT also, that could serve as a ruse. What “pilot type things” indicate a deliberate act?
Airbus had one plane where the pilot was pulling up and the computer said no we are going down and it did.
Exactly.

Electronics are not fail safe fail safe fail safe..........
The data recorder should tell the story.
Other pilots at PPRUNE say that it would be absolutely impossible for this plane to fly itself into the ground with a steady descent at maximum speed like that. It would be like a driverless car deliberately driving itself into a specific mountain. Sure - a computer could do it if programmed that way, I suppose, but you'd have to be a serious conspiracy theorist to suggest the near-impossible.
It's good to wait to get "all the facts," of course, but the technical evidence is overwhelming that it was a deliberate descent.
Go read the information from the Prosecutor. He gets into specifics.
Fighter jet was on the scene. The passengers probably knew it.
What is it with suicides that refuse to go alone? Personally I don’t care what you do to yourself, just don’t endanger/take the lives of others while your at it.
Entirely possible
I also hear that the computers name was HAL
Are you saying the stupid door lock doesn't have a friggin' knob on the cockpit side?
