In what was no doubt a rare moment for all involved, Huffington Post editorial director Howard Fineman noted on MSNBCs Hardball w/ Chris Matthews that Harvard Law School professors were in awe of Texas Republican Senator and presidential candidate Ted Cruzs intellect.
At Harvard Law School, he was the professors were in awe of his intellect, Fineman noted. Even if they disagreed with him, which they did vehemently, these people knew that this guy was trained under the Federalist Society second-generation Republican wave. In other words, not the Reagan years, but these years.
The rare complement from the dedicated liberal came in the midst of a fourteen-minute Cruz bashfest led by host Chris Matthews. Fineman himself wrote an editorial earlier in the day mocking Cruz as anti-abortion, a global-warming mega-skeptic, to the right of Likud on Israel, [and] anti-immigration to the max
I was thinking the same thing.
“anti-immigration to the max”
A truly ironic label to be given to the son of an immigrant. Of course almost everyone labeled “anti-immigration” is not, but that’s the slur that the Left has settled on.
I don’t believe Mr. Obama has ever been inside a courtroom of any kind as a practicing attorney.
The best part is that is he is truly conservative in every sense of the word and he will get a lot or the base vote. That will force the other candidates to run to the right. It’s a win-win proposition.
Cruz’s intellect amazes me. Yet the left is smearing him as the stupid Neanderthal who shut down the government and cost the U.S. economy a “staggering” $28 billion.” The Dem commie laws have cost the U.S. millions of times that amount, so it is a completely hypocritical and bogus argument.
I may be misremembering, but wasn’t O’Bambi the President of the Harvard Law Review, rather than editor. As it was explained to me, being President of HLR was purely honorary, as in he wasn’t expected to do any intellectual heavy lifting. Some said he was elected solely because of his race, not based on merit. Cruz is an intellectual heavy-weight; O’Bambi not so much.
Lets get this straight Øbama was not editor of the Law Review he was the President (popularilly elected) and a compromise candidate at that. The two biggest vote getters couldn’t get a majority so they chose the mulatto one.
It won’t matter..... they will say he is stupid anyway....
It's a joke how the entire left, the press, the professors, all of them, cover for the Magic One.
The only bigger joke is Nobel Peace Prize. That's a joke of cosmic proportions.
The difference is that Obama is not particularly smart. His supporters said he was smart because he went to Harvard and because he is a Democrat. As we all know, leftists think that ALL leftists are smart, and all conservatives are idiots.
But Cruz is the real deal, and I think it's great to rub it in the Democrats' faces that he is much, much smarter than pretty much all of them. It's been so easy for them to call conservatives stupid, but now when confronted with Cruz' superior intellect all they can say is: "Homina, Homina, Homina."
There is no way that Cruz will be labeled an idiot by the left. It won’t fly. Everyone knows and the brightest of the left have already validated that Cruz is the smartest person in any room he enters.
I am guessing the left hopes the GOPe takes him out before the primaries. If Cruz gets through the primaries, it will be complete destruction of the left.
In this case it's true, with obama, he's so dumb, he can't pick his nose without instructions from a teleprompter.
Does not fit the narrative...
