Land Down Under. The Police were overrated and over-played.

(What is it with 1983? No one seems to be able to separate the songs!)

Speaking as someone who grew up in the 1980s, it was hands down the best year for pop music, ever.

My vote is for :
#1 1983 "Every Breath You Take" Police

Sorry Aussies.

I like both these songs, but I have to stick with my original vote for “Every Breath You Take’ because years ago a gal I worked with told me that song expressed how she and her honey felt about each other. She was very heartfelt. I am not a fan of The Police, but in memory of that gorgeous girl whose name I do not remember I vote again for that romantic song.

I hope she is happy today.

I’ll take Men at Work. Never a Police fan.

Every Breath You Take.

One of the best songs of the decade, IMHO. We’ll see who agrees.

Great response, guys!

But this is a nail-biter! We need tie-breakers, or we’ll have to do this again! Tied as of now!

See OP if you haven’t already! Anyone who hasn’t voted, please break the tie!
