Primitive Man and Science
Primitive Man and Science

On Thursday, the state-directed media went ballistic when Scott Walker was asked his opinion of evolution. Unlike the majority of Americans and the entire liberal media complex, Scott Walker does not consider himself an expert on scientific problems he knows almost nothing about.

The man who first described Quantum Physics, made this observation after a lifetime of scientific study.

As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear-headed science, the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter."

Max Planck (1858-1947) Father of Quantum Physics

Now, the integrity of state-directed journalists is being called into question by even the most humble members of society, and the disparity of concern for the scientific opinions of a successful governor or the lack of concern over the illustrated ignorance of American and world history by a failing Commander-in-Chief is comical. While scientific research in the White House has been limited, a knowledge of American History is considered essential. Thus the ludicrous insinuations of state-directed media becomes patently obvious, when a propaganda writer asks:

“Are you comfortable with the idea of evolution? Do you believe in it?”

Walker answered that he would punt on the issue, but threw in this measure of sanity, like a bone to the government's panting whores posing as journalists:

“That’s a question politicians shouldn’t be involved in one way or another. I am going to leave that up to you. I’m here to talk about trade, not to pontificate about evolution.”

Our president would never pass up an opportunity to offer sage advice on scientific and philosophical questions, areas he seems to have more of a deficit in than the average erudite citizen, but a lack of expertise has never prevented him from weighing in on complex subjects, with a charming delivery and a complete lack of substance.

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Socrates .... I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing. Socrates

The question was a trap. These traps are sprung only for Republicans. There is no good answer. No matter what you say, it will be used against you.
The media is not your friend.

The question was a trap.

Which is why I was glad he at least he recognized and attempted not to step in the trap. True, saying "I'll punt" may not be as articulate as "that's above my pay grade", but it's realms better than an Aikenesque soundbyte.

The Planck quote is a good one. There is a great divide between what popular left wing culture calls science and science. Science is not a popularity contest and seldom is science ever settled and scientists that try to behave as if they know all there is to know are just making fools of themselves. Everything comes down to a level of faith especially when we expand our thinking past what is readily and directly observable and even then we are merely having faith that we can really believe our own eyes of which there have been experiments that cast doubt on even that being a safe bet.

Scientism is as much an ideology/religion as “progressivism”. Too many scientists have settled into a Scientistic ideology that in many areas of “science” disallows questioning or even use of the scientific method to test the beliefs of this ideology via experimentation.

Warmism is the leading Scientistic sect.

Quantum theory strongly supports a spiritual worldview.

There is no animal so vicious in defending the territory it’s marked as a published academic. Throw in a question about easily documented fraud (AGW) and they start acting like an enraged silver back. Walker’s reply was tone perfect and demonstrated a nimbleness I did not know he possessed.

Yep, it’s difficult to discount a consciousness independent of the physical brain (aka a Soul) when every cell in that brain is blinking on and off in an existence entirely dependent on that consciousness’ observation.

I love quantum nonlocality. Contemplate the metaphysical implications of that!

It’s not just brain cells. Everything is blinking in and out of existence, like Schrodinger’s Cat, and everything is nonlocal — it’s everywhere and everywhen at once, until we lock in on it, at which point is a defined thing in a defined location.

But the more precisely you know where, the less precisely you know how fast.
