Dozens of House Democrats are contemplating boycotting the speech by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu next month before a joint session of Congress, citing the "breach" of protocol when Speaker of the House John Boehner invited the Israeli PM without clearing it with the White House first.

Netanyahu has come under fire back home and from some within the American Jewish community for accepting the invitation. But with Iran making noises about a deal with the West on their nuclear program being close, Netanyahu – who thinks Obama weak and naive about Iran – feels compelled to put his political hide on the line in order to warn Congress and the American people of the Iranian threat.

Actually if you did a poll in the remaining Democratic congressional districts support for Palestinians would probably exceed that for Israel. Changing demographics, a woeful ignorance of history in general and the Holocaust in particular has had its consequences. Obama’s attitude and policies are not happening in a political vacuum.

The White House to clear whomever speaks in the House of representatives Chambers? The House of Representatives is the separate but co-equal branch of government that by protocol is the one that has to invite the pResident to give the State of the Union address. The pResident has no jurisdiction to tell the House of represntatives whom it can and cannot speak within its chambers. The Democrats are playing politics as being directed by the Whiner in Chief - the Petulant Child whom cannot have his way because He is in Delicate Negotiations with Iran and Valerie Jarrett will throw a hissy fit.
