Cruz: Block Lynch Until Obama Blinks On Immigration

Cruz: Block Lynch Until Obama Blinks On Immigration Stalling the attorney general nominee would be a ‘concrete’ tool ‘to rein in the president’s lawlessness,’ he says. By Manu Raju 2/3/15 Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is demanding that Republicans block the nomination of Loretta Lynch as attorney general until President Barack Obama relents on his immigration policies. The likely presidential candidate said in an interview Tuesday that Republicans should use “every procedural tool” to block Obama’s move to defer deportations for roughly 5 million undocumented immigrants — calling on the GOP-led Senate Judiciary Committee to block her nomination and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to deny her a confirmation vote on the floor. “For several months now, I have called on the Senate majority leader to halt confirmations of every nominee executive and judicial, other than vital national security positions, unless or until the president rescinds his unconstitutional amnesty,” Cruz told POLITICO in the Capitol. “We have an opportunity in front of us right now with Loretta Lynch — a nominee for attorney general — who has fully embraced and flat-out promised to implement the unconstitutional amnesty.”

Is Ted Cruz the only US Senator who understands bargaining using your strengths?

That’s just not good enough.... Block Lynch until hell freezes over and then some.

She’s already revealed she will be just as lawless as Holder.

That is true. Cruz is the most consistent conservative. But that creates another problem. He can not win the majority of senators or even majority of voters. Most voters are NOT consistent conservatives.

“What difference does that make?”-——Hilda Clinton.

All that means is we get Holder to stay on for 2 more years.

ABSOLUTELY!! AG is not a bargaining chip, especially when your negotiating opponent is a yellow-bellied, lying, lawless skunk. What a crappy deal

They said the same things about Reagan, both the GOP-E, the Democrats and the Press.

I believe so, but he has already been sold out by his own party.

most voters and NOT consistant conservatives

I just don't think that's true. When conservatives had a clear message and ran an excellent campaign, they overwhelmingly won (unless they were sabotaged by the RINO elite). The problem is that when they get to DC too many go over to the dark side.

It's the RINO elite that can't win. They don't give anyone a reason to vote for them.

Cruz, again, is right.

Voters gave the Senate to the republicans for a good reason.

Reagan compromised a lot with then speaker of House Tip O’Neill. Note that spending by federal government almost tripled during 8 years of Reagan.

Do you think even for a minute, a president Cruz would have signed on to such humongous spending increases?

What exactly was wrong in the messages of:

Ken Cuccinelli
Sharron Angle,
Christine O’Donnell
George Allen
Joe Miller
Ken Buck
Christine O’Donnell
Alan West
Barry Goldwater

??

All of above were good, consistent conservatives.
Problem was voters were not.

Yea that is the way to capitulate and abdicate your oath of office

Allow a wholly divisive AG the possibility of gaining office in trade for another unconstitutional edict like giving (US) citizenship status to 5 million mexican criminals.

How about, "nothing illegal" or counter to the Constitution

Spare me Cruz is so good, he is the problem like 545 others in DC.

The problem with every one of them is they let the press define them. In Cuccinelli's case, it's just reprehensible that the RNC gave large cash infusions to Christie, who was sure to win, and starved Cuccinelli's campaign. Alan West was gerrymandered out of his district. Since then, conservatives have gone directly to conservative voters for donations.

And look at the McDaniel situation. He had it won in the primary, and the backstabbing elite played every dirty trick they could think of to stop that from happening.

Cruz: Block Lynch Until Obama Blinks On Immigration

Cruz can do that all by himself by putting a "hold" on the nomination...if he has the cajones. Or is he just makeing noise to get noticed? Lately, it has been, "Cruz this", "Cruz that", "Cruz the-other-thing", but has he actually done anything?

What happened to McDaniel was indeed shameful.

But keep in mind the Media will always attempt to tear down consistent conservatives. It is a hill they must be able to climb in order to prevail. And it is never easy.

Which is why now I look for candidates who have the skills to win. No matter how good conservative a candidate is, when they lose elections, they become totally ineffective to change any laws.
